چکیده
کتاب روشنفکران و سیاست نوشته مارک لیلا، به بررسی رابطه سیاست و روشنفکران می پردازد. این کتاب بیش از هر چیز، مدعی آن است که در عصر فروکش کردن فراروایت های کلان، عصر روشنفکران نیز به سر آمده است و روشنفکران مانند سابق نمی توانند طلایه دار تغییرات گسترده باشند. لیلا مدعی است عامل اصلی شکل گیری نظام های توتالیتر، جنگ های خانمان سوز در غرب و حتی سیاسی کردن فلسفه به خیانت روشنفکران باز می گردد. روشنفکرانی که به باور لیلا، آرمان های بزرگی در سر داشتند، ولی هیچ کدام به نتیجه مطلوبی نرسیدند. آنها بیش از هرچیز تحت تأثیر جنبه های پنهان زندگی شخصی خودشان بودند و این مسأله بر اندیشه آنان تأثیر زیادی گذاشت و باعث شد تا فلسفه و سیاست عملی را درهم آمیزند. روشنفکرانی که لیلا انگشت اتهام توتالیتری بودن را به سمت آنان نشانه می رود: هایدگر، آرنت، یاسپرس،کوژو، بنیامین، فوکو و دریدا هستند. از نقاط قوت اثر، توجه به زمینه گرایی و از نقاط ضعف اساسی آن، نقد اخلاقی اندیشمندان به جای نقد آراء آنان است.The Betrayal of the Intellectuals A Critical Review on the Book "Intellectuals and Politics"
The book "Intellectuals and Politics" by Mark L. deals with the relationship between politics and intellectuals. More than anything, this book claims that in the subside era of grand metanarrative, enlightenment has ended, and intellectuals cannot be pioneers in changes such as in the past. Layla claims that the leading causes of the rise of totalitarian regimes, ruinous wars in the west, and philosophy politicization is the intellectuals' betrayal. Intellectuals who had great aspirations, but did not reach the desired results. They were mostly involved in hidden aspects of their life, which influenced their thinking and led to the combination of philosophy and practical politics. Thinkers whom Layla accuses are Heidegger, Arendt, Kojève, Benjamin, Foucault, and Derrida. The strength of the book is contextualism, and the weakness is the ethical critique of thinkers rather than a critique of their works.
