چکیده
آموزش مهندسی در شکل فعلی خود، با تأکید بر مهارت آموزی اجرا می شود. این در حالی است که پدیده انقلاب اطلاعات باعث دستیابی دانشجویان به انواع مراجع برای آموزش مهارت آموزی شده است که به دلایل مختلف از برخی جنبه ها خیلی بهتر از آموزش های سنتی دانشگاهی هستند. لذا این موضوع لزوم تغییر نگرش به آموزش های مهندسی را ایجاد می کند. درس کارگاه عمومی به عنوان یک درس اساساًَ سال اولی در دوره آموزش مهندسی دوره کارشناسی می تواند نقش زیادی در آشنایی سریع دانشجویان با حرفه مهندسی داشته باشد. این درس اکنون با هدف مهارت آموزی تدریس می شود، در حالی که بازه زمانی کوتاه ارائه این درس، تعدد موضوعات تدریس شده و نحوه ارائه آن نمی توانند این هدف را برآورده سازند. در این مقاله نگاهی دوباره به این درس شده است و از آن به عنوان فرصتی برای آشنا کردن دانشجویان با فضای کار مهندسی استفاده شده است. مفاهیمی که می توان در قالب این درس و بدون تغییر قابل توجه در اجرا اما با تغییر قابل توجه در هدف آن به دانشجویان منتقل کرد، شرح داده می شوند و انتظار می رود با این تغییر، بسیاری از مشکلات دانشجویان در دوره کارشناسی که به عدم اطلاع دقیق آنها از روح کار مهندسی بر می گردد، مرتفع شود.General workshop: A course for practical training or an introduction to engineering
Engineering education is based on the technical methods in the present form. Information revolution causes to access the technical education materials as a widely spread form by the students. These materials are more effective than the traditional engineering education. Thus, it is necessary to change the engineering education methods from the classical form. General workshop is a first-year course for the engineering students and it is an introduction on the engineering regulations. Nowadays, this course is run to teach the practical training. However, this goal cannot be achieved because of the short period of the course, various topics of the course and improper education methods. In this paper, this course is revised based on the teaching of engineering concepts to the students. Various engineering concepts are explained which can be educated in this course without considerable changes in practice but with magnificent change in the course prospective. It is expected that this new design helps the students more to be familiar with the engineering concepts and methods.
