چکیده
هدف: هدف از انجام این تحقیق بررسی نیازهای اطلاعاتی دانشجویان دانشکده جغرافیای دانشگاه تهران و نقش کتابخانه دانشکده در تامین نیازهای اطلاعاتی آنها می باشد.. روش شناسی: روش تحقیق به کار رفته در این پژوهش، پیمایشی و ابزار گردآوری داده ها پرسشنامه سازمان یافته است. جامعه آماری پژوهش، دانشجویان دانشکده جغرافیای دانشگاه تهران هستند. با استفاده از آمار توصیفی و تحلیلی و نرم افزار SPSS تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها صورت گرفته است. یافته ها: این تحقیق نشان داد،مهمترین هدف استفاده از کتابخانه انجام پروژه های درسی(8/68 درصد) و بیشترین میزان استفاده از کتابخانه، با تناوب هفتگی با 6/52 درصد می باشد. جامعه آماری مورد پژوهش به طور میانگین در طی هفته 9/6 ساعت در کتابخانه دانشکده مطالعه می کنند، همچنین 6/41 درصد جامعه آماری فقط برای امانت کتاب به کتابخانه مراجعه کرده و 3/50 درصد آنها، اولین گام در دستیابی به اطلاعات در کتابخانه را استفاده از کامپیوتر ذکر کرده اند. نتیجه گیری: بیشترین رضایت را از مجموعه در تامین نیازهای اطلاعاتی مربوط به کتابهای فارسی، و کمترین رضایت از بخش نشریات لاتین کتابخانه ذکرشده است..و همیچنین استفاده از اینترنت و منابع الکترونیک به عنوان منبع مهم در زفع نیاز اطلاعاتی بیان شده که نیازمند توجه به زیرساخت ها و خرید منابع الکترونیک استA Survey on information needs of the students of Geography College of Tehran University and the role of the library to supply them
Purpose: The present research aimed to investigate the Information needs of student of Geography College of Tehran University and the role of the library to supply them.
Methodology: Research methodology was descriptive study and conducted by questionnaire. Research population was about 814 students, and the sample was 173 students. SPSS was used for statistical analyses.
Findings: Demographic features and subfield were identified. Findings indicated that the main purpose of the students for library use was doing homework 68.8%, and maximum use of the library, with a weekly rotation was 52.6%. The sample studied in the library during a week about 6.9 hours, and 41.6% of the statistical community uses the library for book loan. The first purpose of 50.3% of them is accessing information through computer.
Conclusion: The most rate of users’ satisfaction was to meet their information needs in the collection of Persian books and the least one was reported Latin journal section. It was revealed that using internet and electronic resources were the important resources to supply their information needs. There should be a good regard to infrastructures in this field.
