Introduction: Ilam province is one of the disaster– prone provinces in our country. Hence, the present study aimed to investigate the influencing factors on the effectiveness of rescue teams in order to respond to disasters in Ilam province took place. Methods: The present study was an applied research. From degree of control view it was a field research type and in order to data collection a survey research type was used. The research methodology was descriptive – correlation. The population studied were included all the active and volunteer rescuers teams with different relief degree (N=728). The sample size was estimated through Morgan and Kerejcie table and numbers of 258 were selected for this study. Also, in order to sample selection, a random sampling method with proportional allocation was used. The research main instrument was a researcher – made questionnaire which its validity was confirmed by experts and its reliability was computed through Cronbach's Alpha coefficient (0/87) which this index shows a high reliability. Results: There was a positive and significance relationship between rescuer team member's working time with Red Crescent Population and between teaching periods of these teams with amount of their effectiveness. Also, gender, marital status, place of residence, participation in rescue operation, educational degree and type of group activity are influencing on rescue's team effectiveness. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that Red Crescent Society relief and rescue teams plan to Ilam province greater effectiveness should consider the following variables: duration of team collaboration with organization, hours training teams, men benefit more from urban as well as the company's participation in relief and rescue operation.
