U.S foreign policy toward Iran had been so uncertain and variable since the beginning of this relation, but alongside fluctuations, some kind of consistency is distinguishable. Until the Islamic revolution of 1979by the Iranian people, Iran was playing a major role in the U.S. anti-communist strategy in the Middle East. U.S grand strategy was based on its confrontation with USSR and Iran was the key for controlling the Middle East and process of underpinning Iran’s power as a liberal ally in the region was at the core of U.S considerations in Iran. After the 1979 revolution, Iran’s priority had changed as a regional actor and it no longer identified itself as a member in the Western coalition based on American foreign policy. On the other hand, U.S. also stopped to identify Iran as a friend and started to demonize the new role Iran was playing in the Middle East and the world. By having these trends in mind, a very fundamental, important question strikes the mind: Did U.S has a turning point in its foreign policy toward Iran after the 1979 or the principle of its foreign policy was fixed and only tactical changes occurred? In order to answer this question I’m going to examine the history of U.S foreign policy toward Iran, particularly the post-revolutionary period. This analysis will be conducted according to the Copenhagen school definition of security and concept of securitization. This theoretical frame work brought us a comprehensive understanding of security and also a relative, useful categorization of security strategy in foreign policy. Different methodological approaches could be used in these frameworks but in this research I have used the discourse analysis method to explore the subject of research. Conclusion of the research shows us that American strategy toward Iran covers both permanent and variable factors but the permanent element was the key and variable factors made changes only in tactical level. U.S foreign policy was basically directed toward securitizing Iran but the world system, regional and national events also made it more powerful. It means that after the Islamic revolution of Iran, U.S. has continuously made an attempt in persuading other actors to securitize Iran. Before the Cold War, this securitization was in a low level but after the Cold War it can be classified as a high-securitization.

Since it needs precise study of the novel for providing an answer to the question, it has to consider four aspects of fiction, i.e. narration, characterization, setting and dialogue. Therefore, studying reality theories in art and applying the two theories of reality production and theory of representation, attempts have been made to represent post-revolution religious identity in viewpoint of renowned novelist Ahmad Mahmoud. Discourse analysis and text analysis methods have been employed. The findings of the paper show that in “Zero Degree Orbit” religious identity has been introduced as a tool for fight against tyranny as well as using the revolutionary aspects of religion in reorganization of the popular fronts and their mobilization against the tyrant regime in addition to promotion of public awareness.

One of the challenges of the Islamic Republic of Iran during her forty years since the 1979 revolution is the bewilderment for the realization of social justice. Although it is argued that the lack of social justice during the Pahlavi regime finally resulted in the Islamic Revolution, failure in the improvement of social justice indices after the revolution, especially after the end of the war between Iran and Iraq in 1988, has resulted in governance policies that are contrary to social justice. Given that social justice in Iran is not desirable and the current situation in Iran, forty years after the revolution, does not resemble much the ideals of the revolutionary leaders for establishing social justice, the present article, by referring to reliable data and using analytical-descriptive method, attempts to show that the governance practices in Iran have not been able to realize social justice which entails taking into consideration the successful international experiences and implementation of the good governance practices.

Sociological analysis of the foreign investment process in Iran during the pre and post Islamic Revolution periods has undergone many fluctuations. Foreign investment in Iran was under the influence of political fluctuations, and attempts have been undertaken in each period to create a safe environment for attracting foreign capital by resorting to various compilations. What sets Islam as a privileged and outstanding religion at any given time is that it considers all aspects of life and, principally, has put all parts of human life in the path of true evolution with its original special laws. The basic role of jurisprudence in relation to the economy and the appropriate solutions for regulating economic relations and the formulation of a standard in the economic regulations has been highlighted in the foreign investment affairs, the use of rules, regulations, and principles of the law in the conflict of individual and social interests. After the Islamic Revolution, foreign investment, with emphasis on jurisprudential and Islamic foundations, brought about tremendous changes in the field of Iranian-Islamic urban spaces.

Iran’s Revolution has been to date analyzed with a variety of theories, but the gap in the presentation of a native theory for its analysis has been always felt. Given the significance of this subject, the present paper attempts to shed some light on the capacities and position of transcendent philosophy in the analysis of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. In doing so, an attempt was made to theoretically assess the capacity of transcendent philosophy and its impact on the Islamic Revolution, as well as reviewing the literature and background of the subject matter and certain cultural theories regarding the Islamic Revolution of Iran and their deficiencies in the elucidation of this phenomenon. As with existentialism, the gradation of existence, the substantial motion, as well as the special look of this school at human being and society, the theoretical dimensions of the transcendent philosophy has given rise to a critical perspective on the status quo. Additionally, a comprehensive perspective on philosophical, jurisprudential, mystical, sociological, etc. dimensions has been stressed, which paves the way for the analysis of the Islamic Revolution.

Many local and foreign theorists and authorities have tried to present a theoretical elaboration of the nature of Imam Khomeini’s leadership and its profound impact. Therefore, the basic question of this research foresees this fact ‘What kind of interactions has existed between Imam Khomeini’s personality and leadership method and the observation of human dignity?’ Was this method of leadership and its immense influence on the basis of the rejected model of charismatic leadership and can it be interpreted on this basis? The findings of this research, based on the analytical-documental method indicate the complete interaction of Imam Khomeini’s character and leadership method, with the theme of human dignity and specifies that the Imam-as the highest symbol of human dignity and particularly a perfect human being and in the position of an educated, pure and dynamic religious authority in the lap of the high Islamic and Shiite teachings during his life and periods of leadership-had a special and inexpressible attention to the subject of human dignities and basically one of the reasons for the immense influence of his leadership are attributed precisely to this fact. Attempts have also been made concerning the incompatible aspects of the charismatic leadership with human dignities and demonstrating the lack of conjunction of this model with the Imam’s leadership style, as another document to be presented in support of quest for dignity and dignity-centered attitudes of his character and leadership. Indeed, the Imam was the symbol of dignity and the perfect divine human being and for this reason, he left his profound impact on the peoples’ opinion and the majority of Muslims, the impact that has not become routine and afflicted with any defect.

This review attempts to identify the milestones of the history of political thought in Iran and in particular, in the Islamic world. By identifying them, the impact of each of the ideas of urban Iran, Sunni Islam, Shiite Islam, the Greek and the new West on the formation and continuation of political thought in Iran can be understood and the contribution of each of these sources to various historical stages and in different ways that, have produced political power in Islamic Iran can be investigated. This essay seeks to show, through a historical approach, the stages of the rupture and the connection between the course of political thought and historical developments. An examination of the history of thought, scholars, and the political system in Iran and Islam reveals that an important and influential component in the development of post-Islamic Iranian society is the supremacy of the Shi'a intellectual tradition, which has had a significant impact on the growth, and excellence of the Islamic world and Islamic civilization. The golden age of Islamic civilization during the third to fifth centuries, and the political, economic, and cultural flourishing of Iran in the tenth and eleventh centuries, were the product of the rule of Shiite political thought. Accordingly, the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran based on Shiite rationality can lead to a new period of civilization in Iran and the Islamic world.

Theories of international relations can be divided according to objective and non-objective matters in understanding international relations. Fundamental theories such as realism and liberalism consider affairs neutral in understanding international politics, independent of intangible values' role. They do not place intangibles such as religion, culture, and norms in understanding global affairs. In contrast, non-fundamental or constructive theories such as normative and critical see things as value-oriented in international relations and do not consider international realities as separate from intangible values and affairs. In contrast to the fundamental theories that focus only on beings and non-beings, these theories emphasize the do's and don'ts and reasons in international relations, which are not presumed but can be changed. Thirdly, some views ignore the role of religion in international relations, becoming more prominent with the Islamic Revolution. They seek to return to the lost turning point, called the "Inspiration of Religion." In this inspiration, in addition to the "Do's" and "Don'ts," the "Beings" and "Non-Beings" are emphasized. The formation of Imam Khomeini's movement and the Islamic Revolution's victory in 1979 caused the monarchical regime's fall in Iran. More importantly, it led to a significant change in the Westphalian system. This revolution, unlike the processes of the contemporary era, was not formed in the framework of the domination system, especially the bipolar system after the Second World War; instead, it succeeded by confronting the international ruling system, negating it, and relying on the principle "Nither East Nor West." In this article, we want to prove that before the collapse of the Soviet Union and consequently the collapse of the bipolar system, the formation of Imam Khomeini's movement and the Islamic Revolution's victory had challenged the domination system. In other words, the domination system had come to the end of its hegemony with the Islamic Revolution. Therefore, the world has witnessed forming a new system fundamentally different from previous actors, interactions, and international conflicts.

The Islamic Revolution victory of Iran in February 1979 has been the source of significant changes in the region and the world and has had a tremendous international impact. Concepts such as the revolution exportation from the beginning of the revolution became the strategy of the Islamic Republic. Undoubtedly, the eight-year Iran-Iraq war had an impact on this policy. The present study aimed to express the effect of these imposed factors on exporting the revolution based on a theoretical framework on the theory of Hagerstrand's diffusion and examining the impact of the imposed war at the domestic and international levels. Based on the results, in contrast to the Islamic Revolution, this influence for governments, especially those that consider it a destructive factor for their government, is prolonged or stopped. And the imposed war became a factor for governments' resistance against the revolution exportation. In contrast, the revolution values have particular importance to the nations that noticed the justice-seeking and anti-arrogance of this revolution. Defense and resistance in the imposed war symbolize oppressed nations' resistance against global arrogance as a desirable pattern of behavior. The primary questions are ‘What effects did the imposed war have on the future of Iran?’ ‘Did these effects play a positive and accelerating or negative and deterrent role in the export of the Islamic Revolution?’ According to the hypothesis, some influences had a deterrent role in exporting the Islamic Revolution by those conditions. They caused the change of idealistic to realistic views. On the other hand, the Iranian nation's voice was a symbol of the government defending the oppressed, so it has caused the export of more and more values of this revolution.

The proximity of Islamic schools with the emergence of Islamic extremist currents has become a significant concern for Muslim thinkers. It has doubled the need for approximation and intra-religious dialogue. From a historical and institutional view, Iran and Egypt are the institutional pioneers of approximation among Islamic countries. Since the early 1942s, they have developed their activities in various formats based on the views approximation of the two sects’ religious scholars. The two countries' intellectual, political, and cultural atmosphere and a sense of leadership for the Islamic world in Egypt and Iran have been the largest producers of thought in the Islamic field. It was a significant factor in theory-making and pragmatism in this field. The main question is ‘How can the prominent meanings in the institutional network of schools proximity in the Islamic world and contemporary Iran be explained from an institutional and policy-making perspective?’. The results indicated that after the developments leading to secularism in Egypt, Iran became the only pillar of approximation among Islamic countries. After the Islamic Revolution of 1979, by emphasising the issue of Palestine, Hajj and the formation of a single nation, to guide domestic and transnational audiences by highlighting religious affinities in the geography of Islam and Muslims guide to religious coexistence. The second phase statement of the revolution is the most innovative manifestation of the institutional approximation strategy that Ayatollah Khamenei, emphasising trans-ethnic, trans-religious and transnational themes, has presented his institutionalist reading as a "Comprehensive Approximation" using previous historical experiences.
