چکیده
دانشگاه ها به طور سنتی به دنبال ارائه آموزش های تخصصی و مهارت های مرتبط با توانمندسازی افراد به منظور ایفای نقشی مفید در تحولات اجتماعی و کسب زندگی مرفه با شغلی آبرومندانه برای دانشجویان هستند و عمدتا به کارویژه دانشگاه ها از منظر آموزشی و آماده سازی افراد برای حضور موثر در اجتماع پرداخته می شود. در این میان نقش آموزشی دانشگاه ها در مناطق و جوامع درگیر منازعه و ظرفیت بالقوه آن در صلح سازی پایدار و ترویج ارزش ها و فرهنگ صلح در جوامع و مناطق منازعه خیز کمتر مورد توجه قرار می گیرد. این مهم به ویژه در منطقه خاورمیانه که آبستن منازعات مختلف است، از اهمیتی مضاعف برخوردار است؛ چرا که وجود رهبران و نخبگانی که پای بند به هنجارهای مشترک و مسالمت آمیز برای حل و فصل اختلافات باشند و از شیوه های مسالمت آمیز برای مدیریت تنش ها بهره ببرند، امکان بروز و تشدید منازعات منطقه ای را تخفیف می دهد و زمینه ها و بسترهای لازم برای صلح سازی پایدار و باثبات را فراهم می کند. بر همین اساس، سوال پژوهش این است که کارکرد آموزشی دانشگاه ها چگونه می تواند در مدیریت منازعات منطقه ای و صلح سازی نقش آفرینی کند. فرضیه پژوهش این است که دانشگاه ها از طریق هنجارسازی(صلح، عدالت، حقوق بشر)، تقویت ظرفیت های مشترک و ظرفیت سازی اجتماعی می تواند موجب گسترش فرهنگ صلح و کاهش شدت و میزان منازعات منطقه ای شود.The Role of Education and Universities in Peacebuilding and Regional Conflict Management: A Case Study of the Middle East

Accordingly, the research question is how the educational function of universities can play a role in regional conflict management and peacebuilding. The research hypothesis is that universities can enhance the culture of peace and reduce the intensity and intensity of regional conflicts through standardization (peace, justice, human rights), strengthening shared capacities and social capacity building.
