چکیده
روش های تحقیق زیادی اعم از کمی و کیفی در رشته روابط بین الملل وجود دارد که دانشجویان از آن برای پژوهش های خود استفاده می کنند. یکی از روش های کیفی، روش پژوهش تاریخی یا تاریخ پژوهی است. روش تاریخی زمانی کاربرد دارد که پژوهشگر درصدد بررسی پدیده ای در گذشته است و هدف آن کشف واقعیات تاریخی و شرح رویدادهای حال است. تاریخ مهم ترین عنصر تاثیرگذار در برقراری و توسعه روابط کشورها است زیرا دولت ها بر اساس برداشت هایی که از کشورهای دیگر دارند روابط خود را در بستر زمان تنظیم می کنند ولی پژوهشگران روابط بین الملل یا به ندرت از این روش استفاده می کنند یا با روش درست کاربست آن آشنا نیستند. در این مقاله سعی می شود به این پرسش ها پاسخ داده شود که چگونه از روش تاریخی در پژوهش های روابط بین الملل استفاده کنیم؟ کاربرد روش تاریخی در روابط بین الملل چه مزایا و دستاوردهایی ایجاد می کند؟ چه کاربردهایی برای رشته روابط بین الملل دارد؟ و دلایل کم-توجهی به این روش پژوهش در رشته روابط بین الملل چیست؟ هدف مقاله این است که به تولید ادبیات مربوط به نحوه استفاده و کاربرد روش تاریخی در رشته روابط بین الملل بخصوص در پژوهش های مربوط به پایان نامه ها و رساله ها یاری رساند.Applying the historical method in international relations research
There are many research methods, both quantitative and qualitative, in the field of international relations that students use for their research. One of the qualitative methods is the method of historical research or history research. The historical method is used when the researcher seeks to study a phenomenon in the past with the aim of discovering historical facts and describing present events. History is the most important influential element in establishing and developing relations between countries because governments regulate their relations in the context of time based on their perceptions of other countries, but international relations researchers either use this method infrequently or are unfamiliar with the proper way to use it. This article tries to answer these questions: how to use the historical method in international relations research? What are the advantages and achievements of applying the historical method in international relations? What applications does it have for the field of international relations? And what are the reasons for the lack of attention to this method of research in the field of international relations? The purpose of this article is to help produce literature on how to use and apply the historical method in the field of international relations, especially in research related to dissertations
