The purpose of this study was to identify and to prioritize the most important criteria to choose qualified coaches for the basketball national teams in Iran based on the perspective of sport experts, managers, basketball coaches, and elite players. Method used in this research was descriptive and survey kind. 135 participants were studied through random sampling approach according to the Morgan table. After collecting the questionnaires, 110 samples were qualified for further investigations. The data was analyzed with both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics including Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Friedman test for finding the priority of criteria and analysis of variance test, using SPSS software. The order of the eight identified treats include “Personality and Cognitive Features, Emotional and Humanistic Characteristics, Social Characteristics, Managerial Skills, Scientific Knowledge and Expertise, Coaching Experiences, Demographic and Personal Characteristics, and Basketball Sport Skills”. Personality and cognitive features of a coach with mean rank of 6.35 is the most important factor to choose a coach (X2= 61.39, p <0.01) among the eight main criteria. Significant differences were obvious only on the last two items including “Sport skills” and “Personal characteristics” among male and female subjects.
Why and How Can Donors Be Involved in the Development of Student Sports? (Executive Solutions)(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
The purpose of this study was to explore why and how can donors be involved in the development of student sports?. The research method was based on grounded theory approach (Strauss & Corbin method). The statistical population in the qualitative stage included 15 experts and key experts including university professors and executives of university sports who were selected by purposive sampling, and at the quantitative stage, 315 people who were active in the field of charity and student sports were studied. The results were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis in the form of structural equations with SPSS and PLS software. 73 primary concepts were identified, which were categorized into 58 sub-categories. Compiled to collect information. According to the developed model, the existence of security for donors in investing in student sports and providing the necessary support such as granting appropriate facilities, exemptions, and tax discounts provide incentives for the private sector to participate in various sub-categories of physical education and sports. In addition, considering other barriers as well as focusing on developing strategies, could potentially lead to donor investment and participation in student sports.
Identification and Evaluation of a Model for Succession in Football Pro League of Iran Based on the Grounded Theory Approach(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
Although the succession planning literature focuses more on managerial and staffing levels in organizations, it can also be used for players in clubs and sport teams. The purpose of the research was to identify and evaluate a model of player succession in Iranian football premier League. The research method was mixed (qualitative and quantitative). The statistical population of this research in the qualitative section includes 16 specialists and experts in football, and in the quantitative part of the research, all managers, athletes, coaches and football referees in the Premier League in 2020, and finally 286 subjects were studied through stratified random sampling in quantitative phase. Research hypotheses were examined using correlations and structural equations modelling . A total of 189 primary codes (concepts) were extracted in the coding process, which after validation, 33 primary codes (concepts) were compiled. In the model, causal conditions included binding or motivating factors as well as the process of replacing players. Underlying conditions involved networking to develop a player replacement program, interacting with other organizations, formulating binding strategies, and setting a budget to promote win-win thinking in the football club succession program in Iran.
The Pathology of Spectators’ Behavior in Sports Stadiums(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
Sports has a potential to reinforce the elements in the cultural and social structures and creates them in a new form. The purpose of this study was to examine the spectators’ behavior pathology in sports stadiums of Guilan, Iran. The method of this study was descriptive in terms of strategy, survey in terms of execution, and applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population of this study was spectators, coaches, referees, and players in Guilan. The collected data were classified by descriptive statistical methods and were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient and ANOVA. The Cronbach’s Alpha method was used to determine the reliability of the test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the studied variables, and the independent variables in the equation could predict and explain variances and changes in the dependent variable. Correlation between environmental factors and spectator behavior was 0.751 and the stadium in the occurrence of aggressive behavior was 0.474. The creation of corrective approaches in the current approach of media for popular sports and the reinforcement of the valuable and moral content of press and TV programs can be more effective. In addition, the necessary communication trainings for the responsible forces of the security of the stadiums and other executive factors of tournaments can be effective in order to respect for the spectators.
Marketing Mix in Sport Tourism Context(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting sport tourism marketing mix. The research method was descriptive – correlation and the statistical sample consisted of 265 sport tourists attended at Azadi stadium in Tehran for watching a football game between Esteghlal and Persepolis that were selected through clustering technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire developed by Shonk (2006). The face and content validity was approved by sport management experts and the reliability was verified by Cronbach’s alpha (α=0/89). The SPSS16 was used for description of variables, and LISREL software was used for conducting Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The result showed that “product” had the most effect on sport tourism marketing mix. “Physical evidences” was the next important variable influencing sport tourism marketing mix. Moreover, “promotion”, “people”, “process”, “price”, and “place” had significant effects on sport tourism marketing mix. According to the results it can be concluded that according to sport tourists’ view point, “product” and “physical evidences” had more importance. Product includes quality of sport contests and its’ related components, and physical evidence refers to the quality of sport stadium and its’ related factors. Also, other variables such as promotion, people, process, price and place had significant effect on the sport tourism marketing mix that should be taken in granted in sport tourism management context.
