This article aims to identify the relationships among components of green supply chain management (GSCM) in sport businesses through interpretive structural modeling (ISM) and classifying those components according to their driving and dependence power. This study developed in two phases. In the first phase, literature was reviewed and 12-components of GSCM were identified. Then, in the second phase, the GSCM components in sports businesses were structured using ISM and the hierarchical and interactive model of GSCM in sports businesses was developed. The results showed that among the 12-components, ‘internal/external pressure’, ‘rules, regulations and standards’ and ‘green resources’ were the drivers and cornerstones of the formation and change of other factors. Based on the research findings, the key driver and components for achieving GSCM in sports businesses are providing infrastructure (green resources), adhering to norms (internal and external pressure), and setting its executive guarantees (rules, regulations and standards). Therefore, to achieve ‘economic benefits’ and create a ‘green market’ in the sports industry, emphasis and investment on these issues will be helpful. The current paper attempts to develop a conceptual framework for GSCM in sports businesses.
The Role of Sports Tourism Development in Job Creation: Providing a Model(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the role of sports tourism development in job creation. The study was a descriptive survey study conducted in the field. The research population consisted of professors and graduate students studying sports management, entrepreneurship, and tourism at Tehran universities. The research samples were selected through a convenience sampling approach, and finally, 190 people completed the questionnaires. The instrument used in this research was adopted from library studies and literature reviews as well as interviews with five experts. This questionnaire has 10 items for the tourism development component, three items for the direct job creation component, and three items for the indirect job creation component. The face and content validity of the final questionnaire was confirmed by eight professors of sports management, entrepreneurship, and tourism. Convergent and divergent validity and composite reliability were checked and confirmed by the PLS software. Findings indicated that sports tourism had a positive and significant effect on direct job creation and all its dimensions; additionally, sports tourism had a positive and significant effect on indirect job creation and all its dimensions. The study results demonstrate that the development of sports tourism in Iran provides a basis for increasing direct and indirect job creation and permanent, seasonal, and part-time employment.
Sport as a Determinant of National Security(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
The political challenges invite sport to play a peaceful role in international relations. Among all these challenges, national security is a critical part of different states. This study tried to investigate the conceptual framework of sport and national security. The present study was qualitative based on descriptive and applied methods. At first, the literature reviews were studied, and then the semi-open interviews were done with 12 experts in sport sciences and policymakers. After 3 rounds of the Delphi technique, 15 concepts were extracted in 5 main dimensions: economic, military, political, social, and health. Finally, the sport seems to play a vital role in supporting various aspects of security. Iran, as a country under the most severe sanctions on its political economy, can use the phenomenon of sport as a lever to mitigate the effects of international sanctions on its economy, politics, and security in general.
Analysis of the Level of Physical Activity of University Faculty Members during the Coronavirus Pandemic(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of physical activity of faculty members at Allameh Tabatabai University during the coronavirus pandemic. This applied research has been done by a descriptive method. The statistical population of the study was the Allameh Tabatabai University faculty members in Iran. 284 people were selected through the available sampling method. A valid and reliable researcher-developed questionnaire was used for data collection, and a T-test was conducted for data analysis. The results of this study showed that the faculty members of the university do not have intense and moderate activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. But the general knowledge about the benefits of exercising during the coronavirus period has increased. In a general conclusion, COVID -19 crisis has created inactivity among university faculty members. Therefore, it is necessary to design and implement plans to increase the physical activity level among faculty members.
Providing a Framework of Effective Components in Iranian Championship Sports with a Data Mining Approach(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
The main purpose of this study was to provide a framework of effective components in Iranian championship sports with a data mining approach. The research method was qualitative. The advanced search was performed in the general framework of factors affecting the sports industry and development and integration with data-driven technologies. Based on the literature review, 15 frameworks in the field of sports and 13 frameworks for the development and integration of the sports industry with technology were identified. After the data analysis, a researcher-developed framework for the championship sports industry for the use of data-driven technologies and data mining was presented in three parts. In the first part, nine influential factors including athletes/champion teams, leagues/clubs, stadiums/sports venues, fans/spectators, brands, media, government, academic/research institutions, and technology companies, were identified. In the second part, a strategic plan based on the development and integration of sports industry with data-driven technologies and data mining was presented, which includes four stages: Identifying and selecting talents, pre-game and match preparation, in-game and match activities, and post-match and match analysis. All data-driven activities and data mining in the first and second sections were performed by the IBM data science analysis methodology presented in the third section. Then, a conceptual framework was provided to 7 experts and their opinions were collected through semi-structured interviews and focus group methods. This conceptual framework enables sports managers to plan for their organization and adopt appropriate strategies using data-driven technologies and data mining.
The Effect of Destination Image on Satisfaction and Revisiting Intention of Desert Sport Tourists(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
Given the importance of desert sports in the development of sports tourism in desert areas, the purpose of this study was to assess the effect of destination image on satisfaction and revisit the intention of desert sport tourists in the Lut desert of Iran as a desert sport destination. The research population was sport tourists who had visited the Lut desert (in Iran) in 2020. 208 valid and reliable questionnaires were distributed among the research samples that were selected through a convenience sampling approach. The model validity and the relationships among research variables were verified by using structural equation modeling with PLS. The research findings demonstrated that destination image of a desert sport destination has influenced desert sport tourists’ satisfaction and their revisiting intention. Moreover, tourists’ satisfaction had a significant effect on tourists’ revisit intention. The findings of this study can lead to a better understanding of behavioral mechanisms that can provide reliable principles for maintaining and developing sport tourism in desert sport destination destinations.
