Because colonial governments disrupt financial markets to exert political pressure on target countries. For this purpose, in this study, the effects of sanctions on the economic conditions of countries are examined. The criteria (sanctions) examined in this study were placed in international, property, commercial, knowledge, oil, finance and individual groups. These criteria are the sanctions imposed on Iran in the period 1984 to 2020. The method used for analysis is a combination of the Fuzzy Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory technique and sanctions intensity model. The results of this study indicate that in the introduced model, international sanctions are the most effective. These sanctions are most effective when the sanctioned government is in business. Thus, international sanctions have the greatest impact on the government's trade disputes (Commercial sanctions). International sanctions on a country like Iran, which trades in oil and sells its oil, affect oil sanctions as much as they affect Commercial sanctions, but less on individual sanctions. Finally, the results of the model indicate that the intensity of sanctions was at its peak between 2010 and 2015, with the greatest effect being due to international sanctions.
Effect of Information and Communication Technology Deployment on Health Expenditures of Iranian Households: A Provincial Approach.(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
Information and communication technology (ICT) has been rapidly developed in the last two decades and has directly or indirectly affected most areas of human life, including health, which is also referred to as e-health. On the other hand, in the past three decades, most countries in the world have experienced rapid growth in health expenditures, as health expenditures have become one of the most important items of household expenditure. Besides, in developing countries, including Iran, the main financial burden of using health goods and services is borne by households. Reducing the financial burden of health services on households has been one of the long-standing goals of policymakers. It seems that using the ICT capabilities in the form of e-health can be one of the effective solutions in this regard. The present study seeks to investigate this issue. For model estimation, the panel data method and the GLS model in the form of provincial data were applied. The results imply that besides other factors affecting the household health expenditures (such as income, education level, insurance coverage level, etc.), the development of ICT managed to have a significant effect on reducing the health expenditures. It seems developing ICT infrastructure, expanding its penetration rate and developing its applications in the form of e-health can be considered as a proper strategy in the field of health care.
Increased Audit Competition, Interlocking and Financial Reporting Quality in an Emerging Market(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
Purpose- The present study aims to figure out whether audit market competition and large shareholders and auditor’s interlock(Interlocking) is associated with the quality of financial reporting or not. Design/Methodology/Approach - The auditor’s concentration is used for audit market competition for this study's purpose. The absolute value of accruals is employed for measuring the financial reporting quality. The required information is collected from 112 listed companies on the Tehran Stock Exchange from 2012-2018 and analyzed using the pooled regression model. Findings - The study results show that auditor’s competition is associated positively with accruals and negatively and significantly with financial reporting quality. The findings also indicate that the quality of financial reporting goes up by declining competition in the audit market and increasing the auditors' interlock and large shareholders. Originality/value - In contrast to the conducted studies on different types of interlock, this paper has focused on the interlock of large shareholders and auditors in an emerging market with increased competition
A Framework for the Export Development of Nanotechnology Products of Knowledge-based Companies in the Construction Industry: A Grounded Theory Approach(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
The present study aimed to provide a framework for identifying the determinants affecting the export development of nanotechnology products of knowledge-based companies in the construction industry. Methodologically, the research was conducted qualitatively using a grounded theory approach. Data collection was conducted through document review and interview. The purposive and snowball sampling continued until theoretical saturation. The data analysis results were obtained in three steps of open, axial, and selective coding. During the open coding process, categories such as causal, contextual, intervening factors, strategies and actions, and consequences of export development of nanotechnology products were extracted. Then, in the axial coding stage, a link between these categories was identified within the coding paradigm. In the selective coding stage, all components of the coding paradigm were explained, and the theory was developed. After the coding process, the main categories were extracted by conducting fifteen in-depth and semi-structured interviews with practitioners and experts of nanotechnology knowledge-based companies in the construction industry. The benefits of exporting knowledge-based products and services made this a strategic issue for the industry. According to the results, the export of knowledge-based products and services had benefits, including job creation, wealth creation, economic prosperity, comprehensive corporate development, synergy, and increased exports.
Macro-Prudential Policies and Financial Cycle in Iran(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
Financial markets are channels for attracting surplus financial resources and allocating them to investment. Macro-prudential policy needs to consider financial cycle in order to assess the state of the financial sector, predict its developments and justify the need for specific policy tools. we examined the effect of macro-prudential policies on financial cycle of Iran's economy Over the period 2008-2018 using Unobserved Components Structural Time Series Model. We explored the effect of macro-prudential policy index and other variables on the financial cycle. The findings of this study, using the Generalized method of moments (GMM) for the time series data, suggested that the macro-prudential policy index has a negative and significant effect on the financial cycle in the Iranian economy. Also, the probability(likelihood) of a banking crisis, the interbank market loan rate and the economic growth index have positive and significant effect on the financial cycle.
The Effect of Renewable Energy Development Policies on Macroeconomic Indicators in Iran(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
The aim of this study was to The Impact of Renewable Energy Development Policies on Macroeconomic Indicators in Iran in 2020 through the exploratory mixed exploration model research method. The statistical population in the qualitative sector was professors of higher education centers in the field of energy and economics, and senior, middle managers and senior experts of the country's electricity industry and in the quantitative sector the managers and deputies of Ministry of Energy, Companies of TAVANIR, Regional Electric Company of Tehran, Fars and Mazandaran and SATBA by 180 people. To determine the validity and reliability in the qualitative part, the necessary tests including acceptability and capability have been used and in a quantitative part, the validity of the questionnaires was confirmed in terms of form, content (CVR and CVI range for each item between 0.6 to 0.1 and 0.85 to 0.1, respectively) and structure. The reliability and combined reliability of the components were estimated and confirmed between 0.847 to 0.951 and 0.759 to 0.931, respectively. Findings showed that the model of the Impact of Renewable Energy Development Policies on Macroeconomic Indicators in Iran has nine dimensions (objective evaluation, legal framework, compliance, management requirements, policy environment management, process evaluation, policy evaluators, auditing and the characteristics of the optimal method of evaluation) and 25 components.
Analyzing the Ecological Pillars of Innovation Ecosystem Based on Bibliometric Method(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
The innovation ecosystem plays a valuable role in the development of innovation and entrepreneurship. The emergence of an innovation-based economy requires the development of an innovation ecosystem in the context of the region. In most countries, especially less developed countries, the ecosystem is not properly formed and the first step to its formation is the theoretical and experimental knowledge of this area. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the dimensions and components of the innovation ecosystem. We applied bibliometric method, citation analysis, applied evaluation techniques and content analysis of documents in this research. The purpose of this research is to review studies in this field and to present a conceptual and integrated model using content analysis of documents by organizing previous research. The statistical population of this research includes all the documents presented in the Web of Science database with 438 documents related to the innovation ecosystem until 2020 and has been evaluated and illustrated using VOS viewer software. Based on the content analysis of the documents, research on the "innovation ecosystem" is divided into five sections. The first part of the research is related to the structural factors. The second part is related to the type of the relationships and interactions, and the third part is related to the results. The fourth part is about the actors and the fifth part is about how they have performed. Finally, the conceptual framework of the research is presented based on the content analysis of the documents
