چکیده
زندگی کاووس کیانی در شاهنامه با داستان هایی چون داستان زاده شدن رستم، جنگ مازندران و هفت خوان رستم، داستان رستم و سهراب، و داستان سیاووش گره خورده ؛ و در میان ده هزار بیت به صورت پررنگ و کم رنگ ترسیم شده است. جستجوی دقیق در این ابیات موجب می شود که خصوصیّات و بازتاب های شخصیّتیکاووس بخوبی نمایانشود. مسلّماً با دسته بندی و ارزیابیاین ویژگی ها، آسان تر می توان به لایه های درونی شخصیّت وی نفوذ کرد. آنچه کاووس را با سایر پادشاهان شاهنامه متفاوت ساخته، جلوه های متضاد شخصیّتی وی است: از سویی اهورایی صفت، دارای فرّه ایزدی، و اهل کاوش و نیایش، و از دیگر سو اهریمنی خو، خودکامه، جنگ طلب و کم خرد است. برخی از صفت های نسبت داده شده به کاووس تنها صفت وی نیست و اغلب شاهان شاهنامه این ویژگی ها را دارند در حالی که برخی از صفات، مخصوص کاووس شاه است. اشاره مختصر به هر دو دسته صفات برای روشن تر شدن ابعاد شخصیّتی کاووس در شاهنامه ضروری است و این صفات را می توان به دو دسته عام و خاص تقسیم کرد. به علاوه برخی از این صفات مثبت و اهورایی و برخی منفی و اهریمنی است. از اینرو نیز می توان صفات کاووس را با کمی اغماض، به دو دسته مثبت و منفی تقسیم کرد. در این پژوهش، ابتدا صفات مثبت شخصیّت کاووس، سپس صفات منفی وی مورد ارزیابی قرار می گیرد. در پایان، در جدولی جداگانه به عام و خاص بودن این صفات مثبت و منفی اشاره می شود.Characterization of Kavoos in Shahnameh
The life of Kavoos Kiani in Shahnameh is mixed with the stories like the
birth of Rostam, Mazandaran war, Haft Khan of Rustam, the story of
Rustam and Sohrab, and the story of Siavash; this has been visualized
explicitly or
implicitly among ten thousand couplets. A careful look at these
couplets causes that the features and characteristic reactions of Kavoos can
be presented well. Certainly, we can acquire inner layers of his personality
by classifying and evaluating these fe
atures.
What distinguish Kavoos from the other kings in Shahnameh are the
opposite aspects of his personality: from one side, he is Ahurayish, with
divine charisma, and man of research and praise, and from the other side,
devilish, autocratic, warlike and
low
-
minded one. Some of the features
attributed to Kavoos are not especially his; and most of kings in Shahnameh
have these features while some of the other features are exclusively his. A
careful look at the both categories of features is necessary for re
vealing
better the personality aspects of Kavoos in Shahnamen; these features can
be classified into two categories: general and particular. In addition, some
of these features are positive and Ahurayish; and others are negative and
Devilish. So, roughly w
e can divide features of Kavoos into two positive and
negative categories. In this study, firstly positive features of Kavoos and
secondly his negative ones are being evaluated. Finally, in a separate table
we point to generality and particularity of these
positive and negative
features.
