Objective: the aim of the present study was to investigate the role of anxiety sensitivity and attentional control in predicting the tendency toward addiction in youth. Method: The present study is a correlation type, in this regard, the number of 150 students were selecte through multistage cluster sampling. The attentional control questionnaire (Derryberry& Reed, 2002), anxiety sensitivity (Peterson& Reiss, 1987) and the readiness scale for drug abuse (Zargar, 2007) were performed on individuals. The research data were analyzed by the Pearson correlation coefficient and regression. Results: The results showed that there is a significant correlation between attentional control and the lack of cognitive control with the tendency to addiction. Conclusion: According to the findings it can be concluded that in addition to social and biological factors, psychological factors such as attentional control and anxiety sensitivity is influential in the tendency and readiness of individuals to drug addiction. Aim : The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of schema therapy in experiential avoidance and anxiety sensitivity of students with academic procrastination at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. Methods : It was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population included students with academic procrastination studying at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences in the academic year 2021-2022. The first sample of the research consisted of 500 students who were selected by the multi-stage cluster sampling method. These people answered the academic procrastination questionnaire of Solomon and Roth Bloom (1984), and 152 of them who got  at least one score higher than the standard deviation score were separated from Among them, 42 people who met the criteria for entering the research were selected and placed in two groups of 21 people (experimental and control group). The experimental group received schema therapy; however, the control group did not receive any intervention. Other tools of this research include. Reiss et al. (1986) Anxiety Sensitivity questionnaire, and Gamez et al.’s (1988) Multidimensional Experiential Avoidance questionnaire. the research hypotheses were tested through multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) through SPSS software (version 25). Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental and the control groups in the post-test phase in terms of experiential avoidance (p <0.0001, F = 42.81) and anxiety sensitivity (p <0.037, F = 4.67). This difference was also observed in the follow-up phase. Conclusion: Therefore, according to the findings of this study, schema therapy can be used to reduce experiential avoidance and the anxiety sensitivity of students with academic procrastination.

Objective: This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the structural relationship of marital conflicts, alexithymia, anxiety sensitivity and sexual dissatisfaction in married female students of University of Guilan. Methods: The present research method was descriptive and correlational. A sample of 175 people was selected from the community of married female student in University of Guilan. To collect data, Toronto alexithymia TAS-20, anxiety sensitivity ASI-R, marital conflicts MCQ and sexual satisfaction ISS questionnaires were used. Data analysis was done using structural equation analysis method through Amos software environment. Results: The results showed that the square of the multiple correlations 2R for the observed variable of marital conflicts was 0.45. This indicated that 45% of the variance in marital conflicts was explained by the variables of alexithymia, anxiety sensitivity, and sexual dissatisfaction. The square of the multiple correlations for the variable of sexual dissatisfaction was 0.05. This indicated that 5% of the variance in sexual dissatisfaction was explained by the variables of relationship alexithymia and anxiety sensitivity. Finally, the square of the multiple correlations for the variable of anxiety sensitivity was 0.58. This indicated that 58% of the variance in anxiety sensitivity was explained by changes in the scores of the alexithymia variable. Conclusion: This study can be inferred that there is a significant relationship between alexithymia and anxiety sensitivity with marital conflicts and sexual dissatisfaction. It is hoped that different collection methods will be used in future studies. Also, this research can be carried out among different environments and in a larger and more diverse sample.

Objective: The present study aimed to predict social anxiety based on parent-child conflict and the mediating role of anxiety sensitivity. Methods: The research methodology employed was structural equation modeling with the primary objective being to investigate anxiety sensitivity, social anxiety, and parent-child conflict among second-year high school students in Khorram Abad city during the academic year 2023-2024. A sample of 350 students was randomly selected using cluster sampling. The instruments utilized included the anxiety sensitivity questionnaire Floyd et al, social anxiety assessment Connor et al, and parent-child conflict measurement Fine et al Data analysis was conducted using SPSS26 and AMOS24 software. Results: The results indicated that parent-child conflict had a direct, positive, and significant impact on students' social anxiety (β₌0.44; p<0.01). Furthermore, parent-child conflict directly influenced students' anxiety sensitivity (β₌0.68; p<0.01). Additionally, anxiety sensitivity had a direct and significant correlation with students' social anxiety (β₌0.41; p<0.01). Overall, the findings suggest that the research model fits well. Conclusion: The findings of the study show that conflicts between parents and children, along with sensitivity to anxiety, are important factors that can predict the level of social anxiety in students.
