Adequate reduction of marital conflicts in cardiovascular disease patients helps them cope better with their conditions, as well as improve their quality of life. The aim of this empirical study was to investigate the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on marital conflicts in cardiac patients with a history of coronary artery bypass. The method of this research was semi-experimental with pre- and post-test with a control group. Participants were 30 patients, who were selected through convenience sampling. Participants administered the Marital Conflict Questionnaire (Sanai, Alaghband, Falahati, & Hooman, 2009) as pre- and post-test. Finally, 30 individuals who had the highest scores in the marital conflict questionnaire were selected and randomly assigned to two groups of experimental and control (n=15). To analyze the data, the ANCOVA test was used. The findings of this study indicated that there was a statistically significant effect on the experimental group on the following sub-scales: decreased cooperation, dividing financial affairs and marital conflict. It could be concluded that ACT-based training intervention was effective of the above-mentioned subscales and could be used to reduce marital conflicts in patients with patients with a history of coronary artery bypass. This study indicates the importance of education, as well as psychological interventions as an essential part of the recovery process.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to study the effect of family therapy in hope therapy method on the reduction of marital conflicts in couples. Methodology: The statistical population of the study included all incompatible couples referring to Pishro counseling center. The sample consisted of 30 couples who were selected based on entry and exit criteria and were randomly divided into two groups (each one consisted of 15 couples). They were evaluated using research tools before and after interventions. The research tools included Marital Conflict Questionnaire (MCQ) and Penis Marital Disturbance Scale. Data were analyzed using multivariate covariance analysis. Findings: The results of the data analysis indicated that there is a significant difference in variables of marital conflicts and marital disturbance of hope therapy group and the control group by removing the effect of pre-test variable (P<0.01). Discussion: Hoping-paired enrichment interventions have led to clinical changes in couple relationships and increasing the level of positive interactions.

Objective: This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the structural relationship of marital conflicts, alexithymia, anxiety sensitivity and sexual dissatisfaction in married female students of University of Guilan. Methods: The present research method was descriptive and correlational. A sample of 175 people was selected from the community of married female student in University of Guilan. To collect data, Toronto alexithymia TAS-20, anxiety sensitivity ASI-R, marital conflicts MCQ and sexual satisfaction ISS questionnaires were used. Data analysis was done using structural equation analysis method through Amos software environment. Results: The results showed that the square of the multiple correlations 2R for the observed variable of marital conflicts was 0.45. This indicated that 45% of the variance in marital conflicts was explained by the variables of alexithymia, anxiety sensitivity, and sexual dissatisfaction. The square of the multiple correlations for the variable of sexual dissatisfaction was 0.05. This indicated that 5% of the variance in sexual dissatisfaction was explained by the variables of relationship alexithymia and anxiety sensitivity. Finally, the square of the multiple correlations for the variable of anxiety sensitivity was 0.58. This indicated that 58% of the variance in anxiety sensitivity was explained by changes in the scores of the alexithymia variable. Conclusion: This study can be inferred that there is a significant relationship between alexithymia and anxiety sensitivity with marital conflicts and sexual dissatisfaction. It is hoped that different collection methods will be used in future studies. Also, this research can be carried out among different environments and in a larger and more diverse sample.
