ریشه شناسی واژه «تازی » با تکیه بر متون تاریخی و ادبی

چکیده
با نگاهی به میراث مکتوب ایران می توان گفت که ایرانیان از دیرباز تاکنون اعراب را با عنوان «تازی » یا «تازیان » خطاب و از زبان عربی با عنوان «زبان تازی » یاد کرده اند. با این حال مشخص نیست که چرا و از چه زمانی اعراب را با نام تازی مورد خطاب قرار داده اند. یا آنکه چرا تعاریف واژه تازی و دلایل انتخاب این نام برای اعراب متفاوت و گاه مغایر یکدیگر هستند. این مقاله بر آن است تا با تکیه بر روش اسنادی تحلیلی به بررسی و ریشه یابی این واژه سره فارسی و چرایی اطلاق آن بر اعراب در متون مختلف تاریخی، لغوی و دینی بپردازد. یافته های پژوهش بیانگر وجود یک باور اسطوره ای و دینی در نزد ایرانیان باستان است مبنی بر آنکه «تاز » نیای بزرگ عرب ها بوده و به این سبب واژه «تازی » بر ایشان و زبانشان اطلاق گردیده است.Etymology of the Word Tazi Based on Historical and Literary Texts
A glance at the written heritage of Iran reveals that Iranians have always referred to Arabs using the word “Tazi” or “Tazis” and referred to Arabic using the word “Tazi” language. However, it is not quite clear why and since when they have calledArabs as “Tazis”, or why the definitions of this word and the reasons given for such a denomination are so different and sometimes contradictory in various Persian and Arabic sources. Here, following a document analysis method, the author intends to examine the etymology of this original Persian word and the reasons behind its application to Arabs in various historical and religious texts and dictionaries. The findings of the study indicate the presence of a mythical and religious belief among ancient Iranians stating that “Taz” was the great ancestor of Arabs, and that is why the word “Tazi” is applied to Arabs themselves and their language.
