آلفونس گابریل در دیدار از کویرهای ایران

چکیده
مقاله پیش رو دستاوردهای سفرهای آلفونس گابریل، ایران شناس اتریشی را به کویرهای ایران مورد بررسی قرار می دهد. گابریل در اوایل قرن بیستم، چندین بار بهمراه همسرش به کویرهای ایران مسافرت کرد. مهمترین تفاوت بارز وی از دیگر سیاحانی که از ایران گذر کرده اند، این است که او قبل از سفر به ایران، نقشه مسیر و آثار سیاحان، گیاه شناسان، نقشه برداران، جانورشناسان، باستان شناسان، مأموران دولتی، پزشکان، مستشاران و دیگر خارجیانی را که به ایران آمد ه بودند، مورد مطالعه و بررسی قرار داد. وی سپس به منظور کشف ناشناخته ها، کویرهای ایران را درنوردید. در نتایج سفرهای گابریل که توسط او به رشته تحریر درآمده است، نکات ارزشمندی درباره فرهنگ، مذهب و نژاد ایرانیان به چشم می خورد. پژوهش حاضر با اتخاذ روش مطالعات کتابخانه ای به بیان این نکات پرداخته است.Alfons Gabriel’s Visits to Iranian Deserts
The present paper examines the achievements of Alfons Gabriel, the Austrian Iranologist, on his journeys to Iranian deserts. He frequently traveled to Iran’s deserts at the beginning of the 20th century in company with his wife. The most noteworthy feature of Gabriel which distinguishes him from the other travelers who visited Iran was that, before setting out on his journeys, he carefully studied the road maps and the works of the other people, botanists, topographers, zoologists, archeologists, state delegates, physicians, advisors, and foreigners who had previously traveled to Iran. He made several voyages to Iran’s deserts in order to make new discoveries about them. His writings in this regard contain several invaluable information about the culture, people, religion, and ethnic groups of this country. In this paper,the writer investigates such findings following the library research method.
