Technology Acceptance Model
حوزه های تخصصی:
This mixed-method study endeavored to solicit the perspectives of Iranian collegiate students passing the obligatory course of medical English through Navid Learning Management System and its acceptance during COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing Technology Acceptance Model, this study also sought to examine the possible effect gender, academic degree, instructional mode, and e-learning duration in LMS may have on the participants' attitudes. An online survey was employed to gather data from 78 Iranian students. Semi-structured interviews with ten participants were conducted as well to shed more light on the quantitative data regarding main advantages and disadvantages of medical English learning through Navid. The data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics along with inductive thematic analysis, respectively. Findings revealed that Iranian collegiate medical students viewed Navid as a comprehensive e-learning platform to be favorable in terms of its system/service quality, student/educational service quality, and perceived satisfaction, but its perceived satisfaction was not aligned with their needs. Moreover, neither the individual variables, (viz., age and academic degree), nor the instructional variables (viz., instructional mode and e-learning duration) were predictors of the discrepancies among the participants in their perspectives and acceptance of Navid. Learning ubiquitously and lacking face-to-face communication were the main advantage and disadvantage of learning medical English through Navid, respectively. Results revealed that although under the Covid-19 pandemic the acceptance of Navid and students' satisfaction with its use might not be related to the individual and instructional variables in the medical English courses, it might not be the case in others.

حوزه های تخصصی:
The Internet of Things (IoT) is one technology that can revolutionize traditional methods and transform sports infrastructure. To promote the adoption of IoT effectively, it's vital for sports manager to understand the factors that positively and negatively affect it. The aim of this study was to investigate how perceived risk impacts people's willingness to use IoT technology in sports. This quantitative study used a survey method and applied a descriptive approach. The statistical population included Iranian athletes, and 394 individuals completed questionnaires using a non-probability sampling method. Data analysis was performed using Smart PLS3 software. Results showed that perceived risk has a direct and negative impact on perceived ease of use, willingness to use, and perceived usefulness. However, its effect on attitude towards use was insignificant. The study also confirmed the positive impact of perceived ease of use on perceived usefulness and attitude towards use. Perceived usefulness had a greater effect on the latter variable. Additionally, perceived usefulness had a significant positive impact on willingness to use IoT technology in sports, as did attitude towards use. Attitude towards use also had a significant positive impact on willingness to use IoT technology in sports. The study recommends implementing strategies to enhance and improve perceived usefulness, ease of use, and attitude towards use while reducing perceived risk to increase acceptance and willingness to use IoT technology in sports.
TAM-Based Model for Evaluating Learner Satisfaction of E-Learning Services, Case Study: E-Learning System of University of Tehran(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
During the COVID-19 pandemic, universities worldwide favored distance learning systems. Although e-learning provides numerous benefits, it also poses challenges for learners, so learners’ satisfaction is a significant concern to be assessed. The present study aimed to assess learners’ satisfaction with the University of Tehran's LMS during the pandemic. It applied a model based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and supplemented it with factor analysis. Research validity was assessed by using confirmatory factor analysis, while Cronbach's alpha was employed to measure the reliability of the research instrument. The study used the Partial Least Squares (PLS) analytical method to construct structural equations. In order to do so, data was collected from a comprehensive questionnaire distributed to 334 students at the University of Tehran, in which 143 participated. The findings reaffirmed the TAM's effectiveness in understanding the factors influencing learners’ satisfaction with the LMS. Consequently, these insights empower the technical team to enhance system functionality and infrastructure, aiming at improving service quality in the first semester of the academic year 2021. The Results showed that: 1) The TAM-based proposed scale has successfully explained factors predicting learners’ satisfaction. 2) Technical knowledge contributes to the perceived ease of use and influences perceived usefulness with a coefficient of 0.89, and 3) The significant relationships between technical knowledge and attitude were met. The paper's contribution is finding that learners’ technical knowledge significantly impacts their satisfaction, which helps the ICT team develop a user-friendly environment and increases the flexibility of templates. The study focused on creating training videos to improve learners’ technical knowledge. These results can change and improve the software development strategy for the next semester.

The Role of Technical Knowledge and Technology Accessibility in Explaining Grain Farmers’ Soil Conservation Behavior: The Use of Technology Acceptance Model(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزه های تخصصی:
Soil degradation caused by conventional agriculture is a growing problem on grain farms in the Bagherabad district of Mahallat County. This study sought to investigate grain farmers᾽ soil conservation behavior (SCB) based on an technology acceptance model (TAM). A structural equation modeling technique was used to test this TAM based on the survey collected data from 243 grain farmers. Findings revealed that farmers poorly used soil conservation practices (SCPs). However, among SCPs, grain farmers have used organic manuring the most and cover cropping the least on their farms. The reason for this is they had more knowledge about organic manuring and also more access to organic manures. This study also supported the indirect effect of technical knowledge (TK) and Technology Accessibility (TA) on Perceived Usefulness (PU) by affecting Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) directly. In addition, the present study pointed out that intention was the most important factor explaining SCB, and PEOU was the most important factor influencing intention. Therefore, to improve SCB, improving farmers᾽ perceived ease of use (PEOU) should be considered through facilitating TA along with enhancing TK. In this regard, along with providing extension services, policymakers are advised to facilitate farmers’ access to appropriate soil conservation (SC) technologies and inputs and also increase the purchasing power of farmers through granting cheap credit facilities and supplying technologies at affordable prices.
