Iranian EFL teachers' willingness to implement postmethod pedagogy: A mixed methods study(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

The aim of this study was to investigate the Iranian English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers' willingness to implement postmethod pedagogy in the Iranian context. In so doing, a mixed methods approach was employed in which first a validated postmethod questionnaire was administered to a nationally representative sample of 711 Iranian EFL teachers. Then, a series of focus group discussions and individual interviews with 30 teachers were carried out in the qualitative phase of the study. The findings of quantitative data analyses revealed that the Iranian EFL teachers were not willing to implement postmethod principles in their classrooms. Furthermore, the result of the content analysis for the qualitative phase indicated that Iranian EFL teachers do not implement any particular method in the strict sense of the word. Moreover, the teachers mentioned knowledge and experience of teachers; lack of adequate teacher training program; time and financial constraints of teachers; idealistic nature of postmethod; resistance of language institutes; little support of textbook developers; and cultural tradition as the impediments to the implementation of postmethod pedagogy in Iran. Finally, the theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed.

Crafting a Successful Seller-Customer Relationship for Sports Product: AHP Fuzzy Approach

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the criteria of successful salespersons, which is important to enhance in store customer experience. Method: Employed two phase sequential exploratory design, qualitative and quantitative data were collected using purposive sampling technique. For qualitative analysis, 11 sales experts with at least 4 years working experience were interviewed and the data were analyse using thematic analysis. For quantitative analysis, 20 physical education and sports science students were chosen as respondents. Criteria and sub-criteria is weighted quantitatively using Fuzzy AHP and analysed using MATLAB software. Results: From the qualitative analysis, 4 criteria’s (customer orientation, information knowledge, ethical behaviour, and personal characteristics) and 11 sub-criteria were identified. From the quantitative analysis, ranked were provided whereby customer-orientation with a weight of 0.2647 were in the first rank, information knowledge is at the second rank with 0.2556 weight, ethical behavior is at the third rank with 0.2450 weight, and personal characteristics is at the last rank with 0.2347 weight. Conclusions: The findings of this paper are important for sports retail industry, to revamp their sales and marketing strategies. With enhanced understanding regarding consumer needs, sports retailer can sell their products in a more effective manner to increase their market share.

A Mixed Methods Approach to Social Control of Cybercultural Transgressions: An Iranian Perspective(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Cyber transgressions (non-normative behaviors, attitudes and conditions) are growing, hence we employed a three-study exploratory sequential mixed method designed to make a taxonomy of Instagram cybercultural transgressions, and cyber social control means; to examine the effects of low self-control, depression, negative interpersonal relationships, computer/ Internet self-efficacy, netiquette, and normative beliefs, and also sociodemographic factors, and media use habits on cybercultural transgressions; and to explore the effectiveness of jurisdiction, non-anonymity, filtering, and forced user migration to domestic social media platforms as cyber social control means. The quantitative findings from 989 participants showed that nondepressed, older, married, middle-income, university educated, non-student users (especially women) with high self-control, more positive interpersonal relationships, moderate levels of computer/ Internet self-efficacy, normative beliefs, and with more years of Internet use experience, and less daily Internet use, who are knowledgeable about netiquette, are parents, have a job (also retired individuals and housewives), do not use VPNs, psychotropic medications, and alcoholic beverages and/ or recreational drugs, do not have previous experience of online victimization, do not associate with online transgressors, and do not feel being in minority, are less likely than others to commit online transgressive behaviors, or consume transgressive content. The importance of jurisdiction and non-anonymity as social control means, and the failure of filtering and forced user migration to Iranian social media platforms are discussed. These findings can be useful in devising new non-coercive policies and initiatives to socially control cybercultural transgressions.

بررسی اثربخشی دوره های آموزشی منابع انسانی و کاوش راهکارهای بهبود: کاربست مدل تبیین تعقیبی(مقاله پژوهشی دانشگاه آزاد)

برخی سازمان ها با هدف ارتقای عملکرد و افزایش بهره وری، هزینه های زیادی را به آموزش کارکنان خود اختصاص می دهند که گاه چندان اثربخش نیستند؛ لذا بررسی اثربخشی دوره های آموزشی و شناسایی راهکارهای بهبود آنها ضروری می نماید. پژوهش حاضر با همین هدف، با استفاده از مدل تبیین تعقیبی روش آمیخته و در قلمرو شرکت های شهرک صنعتی رفسنجان انجام شده است. برای انجام پژوهش، ابتدا پرسشنامه کرک پاتریک که از روایی محتوا و پایایی آن اطمینان حاصل شده بود، در بین نمونه 156 نفری از فراگیران توزیع شد. برای بررسی وضعیت اثربخشی دوره ها، از آزمون t یک نمونه ای و برای تحلیل های متعاقب آن، از تحلیل واریانس یک سویه در نرم افزار SPSS استفاده شد. سپس، ضمن انجام مصاحبه های عمیق و باز با نمونه 68 نفری از فراگیران تا مرحله اشباع نظری و تحلیل آنها در نرم افزار MAXQDA، راهکارهای بهبود دوره ها کاوش شد. نتایج پژوهش نشان داد در سطح اطمینان 95 درصد، اثربخشی دوره ها و نیز ابعاد آن (واکنش، یادگیری، رفتار و نتایج) در حد متوسط تا زیاد و به تناسب هر یک از ابعاد، بر اساس برخی متغیرهای زندگی نامه ای متغیر بوده است. همچنین، بر اساس یافته های پژوهش، راهکارهایی درباره مکان، زمان، موضوع، مدرس و سازمان مجری دوره ارائه شد.
