چکیده
اژدها موجودی افسانه ای و عجیب که تقریباً به شکل سوسمار و یا مار غول پیکر تصویر شده و در تمامی اساطیر جهان نقش پررنگی دارد. این موجود اساطیری در فرهنگ تمام ملل به جز چین، نماد پلیدی و ناپاکی است که از دهانش آتش بیرون می جهد و دشمن انسان و موجودات دیگر است، و قصد دارد که انسان را از بین ببرد و جهان را نابود کند و در این نقش جنبه اهریمنی و دیوخویی آن بیش تر نمایان می شود. بر همین اساس، در افسانه ها و اساطیر جهان، قهرمانان و پهلوانان پیوسته با این حیوان بدسرشت، در نبرد هستند تا جهان را از وجود آن پاک کنند. حاصل پژوهش نشان می دهد که این حیوان بدسرشت و اهریمنی، نه تنها با قهرمانان نبرد می کند، بلکه با موجودات و جانوران دیگر هم رابطه خوبی ندارد و شواهد و تصاویر به جا مانده از گذشته حکایت از آن دارد که با حیوانات افسانه ای دیگر نظیر سیمرغ و شیر هم در حال نبرد بوده است. در تصاویر به جا مانده، حتی نبرد دو اژدها نیز دیده شده است.Dragon confrontation with other animals in Iranian and world mythology

Accordingly, in the myths and legends of the world, heroes are constantly in battle with this ugly animal to rid the world of its existence.Research shows that this ugly and demonic animal not only fights with heroes, but also does not have a good relationship with other creatures and animals, and evidence and images remained from the past indicate that it has also been fighting with other mythical animals such as Simorgh and Loin. In the remained images, even the battle of the two dragons has been seen.
