خوانش جامعه شناختی نمایش نامه های ملودی "شهر بارانی" اکبر رادی و رمان "احمق" ادوارد باند (مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

چکیده
نویسندگان این مقاله دو نمایش نامده ملودی شهر بارانیا ثدر اکبر رادی و احمق اثر ادوارد باند را بدر مبندای نقدد جامعه شناختی و در نظرگرفتن اوضاع اقتصادی و بافت تاریخی-اجتماعی قرن بیستم ایران و قرن نوزدهم انگلستان مورد بررسی قرار داده اند تا نشان دهند که این دو نمایش نامه نویس طرز تفکر مشابهی دارند و وضایت اقتصادی افراد را عامل مهم و تعیین کننده در شکل گیری ویژگی های انسانی و رفتاری ایشان می دانند. با وجود تفاوت های فرهنگی که زاده زندگی در دو بافت اجتماعی متفاوت اسدت، رادی و باندد افکار ونگرش های مشترک دارند و با به تصویردرآوردن موقایت شخصیت های نمایشی نشان می دهند که جایگاه اجتماعی افراد تا چه حد بر نحوه زندگی، طرز تفکر و روابط ایشان با دیگران تاثیر می گذارد.A Sociological Reading of Akbar Radi’s Melody of the Rainy City and Edward Bond’s The Fool
The Melody of the Rainy City written by the renowned Iranian playwright Akbar Radi and The Fool written by the controversial British dramatist Edward Bond are discussed in the present article by drawing on sociological criticism to illustrate the similarities of these playwrights’ outlooks. Both writers are highly concerned with social injustice in the capitalist systems and believe that people’s economic situation determines their way of life, thoughts and behavior. In spite of cultural differences emerging out of living in two different social contexts, Radi and Bond share some ideas over the social problems induced by capitalism, therefore depict such problems as social inequality and the suppression of low classes by the owners of wealth and capital in capitalist societies. They also demonstrate the dependence of people’s behavior and mindset on their social status, and the functioning of ideology and different social institutions in sustaining the power of those who possess money and rule over the society.
