چکیده
پذیرش نجوم جدید در ایران بیشتر از آن که از طریق بررسی دقیق محاسبات و رصدهای اروپاییان باشد، به خاطر برتری های فنی و نظامی آنها بود. از همین رو، رهبران شیخیه بر اساس دلایل دینی و طبیعی را نجوم جدید مخالفت کردند. محمدکریمخان کرمانی (1225 - 1288 ق)، از رهبران فرقه شیخیه، در رساله فی تزییف کتاب أفرنجی فی حرکات الأفلاک (1269ق) خلاصه ای عربی از کتابی درباره نجوم جدید آورده که از فرنگی به فارسی ترجمه شده بود. در این خلاصه، علاوه بر نظریه های نجومیِ بطلمیوس، کپرنیک و تیکوبراهه، نظریه فیزیکی گردشارهای دکارت و شکل ساده شده ای از قضیه اول مقاله اولِ کتاب اصول نیوتن برای تبیین دینامیکی گردش سیارات دور خورشید بر اساس نظریه گرانش و قانون لختی آمده است. این قدیمی ترین سند از ورود این قضیه به ایران است. فرقه شیخیه در میان مردم ایران، به ویژه در کرمان و تبریز طرفداران بسیاری داشت. در نظام عقیدتی بزرگی که شیخ احمد احسایی و شاگردانش برساختند، جای هر چیزی در کیهان معلوم بود. همین باعث می َشد با کیهان شناختی خورشیدمرکز موافق نباشند.Shaykhists and a Treatise on the Cartesian and Newtonian Explanations of the New Astronomy in Early Naserian Period
The acceptance of new astronomy in Iran was more due to their technical and military superiority than through the careful examination of calculations and observations of Europeans. Therefore, the Shaykhist leaders opposed the new astronomy based on religious and natural reasons. Muḥmmad-Karīm Khān Kirmānī (1810-1873), one of the Shaykhists leaders, in his Riṣala fī Tazyīf Kitāb Afranjī fī Ḥarakāt al-Aflāk ( Treatise on a European Book’s Fraud about the Celestial Motions -April 10, 1853), brings an Arabic summary of a European book have been translated into Persian. This summary includes Copernican and Tycho Brahe’s theories as well as Cartesian vortex theory and Newtonian theory to dynamic explanation of heliocentrism. The latter is a simplified version of proposition I.1 of Newton’s Principia explaining planetary motions around the sun according to the theory of gravity and inertia law. This text should be considered as the oldest document of this proposition in Iran
