حوزههای تخصصی:
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediator role of the capital business path in the relationship between hope, resiliency and self-efficacy as the three components of positive organizational behavior and job performance. Methodology: The statistical population of the research is all employees in the organizations located in Isfahan city. The sample consisted of 217 people who were randomly selected from the staff in three companies. Five Self-evaluation questionnaires were used for collecting data. Findings: The results of statistical analysis showed that three variables of hope, resilience and self-efficacy had a positive and significant effect on the job performance indirectly through capital business path. The results also showed that direct effect of hope on job performance was not significant, but direct effect of self-efficacy and resilience was positive and significant. Discussion: These findings indicated the role of the capital business path in directing the common motivational factor of three constructs of positive organizational behavior of hope, resilience and self-efficacy.
Faith, Hope and Doubt

For many religious people there is a problem of doubting various creedal statements contained in their religions. Often propositional beliefs are looked upon as a necessary, though not sufficient, condition, for salvation. This causes great anxiety in doubters and raises the question of the importance of belief in religion and in life in general. It is a question that has been neglected in philosophy of religion and Christian theology. In this paper I shall explore the question of the importance of belief as a religious attitude and suggest that there is at least one other attitude which may be adequate for religious faith even in the absence of belief, that attitude being hope. I shall develop a concept of faith as hope as an alternative to the usual notion that makes propositional belief that God exists a necessary condition for faith, as Plantinga implies in the quotation above. For simplicity’s sake I shall concentrate on the most important proposition in Western religious creeds, that which states that God exists (defined broadly as a benevolent, supreme Being, who is responsible for the creation of the universe), but the analysis could be applied mutatis mutandis to many other important propositions in religion (e.g., the Incarnation and the doctrine of the Trinity). I am not sure how these ideas fit into Islamic thought, but I offer up my paper to stimulate discussion between Christian and Islamic philosophy on the subjects of faith and doubt.
Effectiveness of strength oriented family therapy on hope, anxiety, stress and depression among mothers of children with cancer(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
The aim of the present research was to study the effectiveness of strength-oriented family therapy on hope, anxiety, stress and depression among mothers of children with cancer. The research method was quasi-experimental with experimental and control groups by pre-test and post-test. The statistical population included all mothers of children with cancer in Ardabil city of Iran in 2015. A group of 30 mothers were selected by convenience sampling method, and they were placed randomly in two groups (15 persons in the experimental group and 15 persons in the control group). All participants completed the Persian version of the Herth Hope Index (HHI-Persian version) and Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS). The experimental group received the strength-oriented intervention in 10 sessions. Multivariate analysis of covariance was applied to analyze the data. Results indicated that the strength-oriented family therapy causes a significant change in increase hope and reduce stress and depression in the experimental group. But there is no significant difference between groups in anxiety.
The effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on mental health, hopefulness and meaningfulness in people with cardiovascular disease(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
Background and Aim: Considering the possible role of psychological factors in the process of cardiovascular disease and also the fact that these factors interact with biological agents to produce effects on cardiovascular disease, the present study aimed at evaluation of the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on mental health, hopefulness and meaningfulness in people with cardiovascular disease. Materials and Methods: The present study was an applied one and was done as pre-test, post-test and control group. The study population included all cardiovascular patients who were referred to Isfahan Cardiovascular Research Center between January to March 2017 and had a history of myocardial infarction or open heart surgery in the last month. The study sample consisted of 30 patients with cardiovascular disease who were willing to participate in the study and met the inclusion criteria. The subjects were randomly assigned to the case and control groups (each group consisting of 15 subjects). Data were obtained using Snyder Hope Questionnaire, Meaning-seeking Questionnaire, and General Health Questionnaire and analyzed by repeated measure ANOVA and SPSS software. Results: The results showed that analysis of variance was significant for intragroup factor (time). For the intergroup factor, only significant variables were found for somatic symptoms and social dysfunction and were not significant for the other variables. The results of the present study indicate that time effect alone is significant regardless of group effect. The interaction of group and time was also significant (F = 12.84, df = 2) and its effect was reported 0.50. Conclusions: Overall, the findings of this study showed that acceptance and commitment based therapy is effective on mental health, hope and Meaning-seeking in Patients with Cardiovascular Diseases.

Objective: The present study determined the fit of hope model based on spiritual health, body image, family support, and health locus of control mediated by social comparison in patients with postoperative breast cancer. Method: The sample of the study included 400 women selected using the purposive sampling method from patients with breast cancer who after surgery referred to Imam Khomeini Hospital in Tehran in the spring and summer of 2021. Data collection tools included Gibbons and Buunk's Social Comparison Orientation Scale (1993), Khodapnahi et al.'s Social Support Questionnaire (2009), Schneider Hope Scale (1991), Paloutzian and Ellison's Spiritual Well-Being Scale (1982), Cash, Winstead, and Janda's Body Image Questionnaire (1985), and Wallston et al.'s multidimensional Health Locus of control scales (1978). Results: The hope model based on spiritual health, body image, family support, and health locus of control mediated by social comparison in postoperative breast cancer patients had a good fit. Also, spiritual health (r = 0.48), body image (r = 0.46), family support (r = 0.37), and health locus of control (r = 0.23) had a direct correlation and indirect effect on the variable of hope mediated by social comparisons. Conclusion: In order to increase the hope as the inner force needed to fight breast cancer, we can improve the quality of spiritual health, positive body image, family support, source of health control, and social comparison.

Purpose: Woman-headed households experience more psychological issues and a lower level of psychological well-being compared to other women. The goal of this research is to investigate the relationship between hardiness and resilience in Woman-headed households, with hope serving as a mediator.
Methodology: The present study is a part of descriptive-correlational research utilizing the cross-sectional research method and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The statistical population for the study consists of all woman-headed households assisted by the welfare organization in Tehran from July to December 2023. A total of 192 woman-headed households were selected using multi-stage cluster sampling as the statistical sample. Research instruments utilized were the Adult Hope Scale (AHS), Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), and Kobasa's Hardiness Scale (KHS). Descriptive statistics were performed using SPSS version 27 software, while path coefficients between constructs were analyzed using Amos version 24 software. The CB-SEM method was employed to develop the structural equation model. A significance level of 0.05 was used in the analysis.
Findings: Based on the current research findings, it was found that hardiness positively and significantly impacted the variable of Hope (β=0.801, P=0.001). Similarly, the variable of hardiness also had a positive and significant effect on Resilience (β=0.953, P=0.001). There was no notable effect of the Hope factor on Resilience (P=0.868). The study revealed that hardiness did not indirectly and significantly influence Resilience through Hope (β=0.008 and P=0.864).
Conclusion: The findings of the current research indicated that hardiness leads to higher levels of hope and resilience. However, the study found that hope does not have a notable impact on resilience, and as a mediator, it did not show any effectiveness in the research.
