زمینه و هدف: افراد دارای اضافه وزن و چاق معمولاً با اختلالات غیرطبیعی در عملکرد قلبی-تنفسی مواجه هستند که این امر به کاهش ظرفیت عملکردی باقی مانده منجر می شود. با این وجود، کاهش وزن در این افراد معمولاً به بهبود وضعیت عملکرد قلبی-تنفسی منجر می گردد. تحریک الکتریکی عضلانی (EMS) به عنوان یک روش کمکی در مدیریت مشکلات مرتبط با چاقی موردتوجه قرار گرفته است. این مطالعه به بررسی تأثیر حاد فعالیت ورزشی فزآینده و EMS بر شاخص های قلبی-تنفسی در مردان دارای اضافه وزن پرداخته است. روش تحقیق: در این مطالعه نیمه تجربی و کاربردی، ۱۰ مرد با میانگین سن 08/6 ± 1/29 سال، شاخص توده بدنی 98/1 ± 49/28 کیلوگرم بر مترمربع به صورت داوطلبانه شرکت و در سه جلسه به آزمایشگاه مراجعه نمودند. در جلسه اول، آزمون فزآینده را تا رسیدن به نسبت تبادل تنفسی معادل یک و سپس تا واماندگی برای تعیین حداکثر اکسیژن مصرفی (VO2max) اجرا کردند. در جلسه دوم، همین آزمون با اضافه شدن EMS با فرکانس 75-35 هرتز انجام شد. در جلسه سوم، تنها EMS اجرا گردید. شاخص های قلبی-تنفسی قبل، حین و طی 20 دقیقه ریکاوری بلافاصله بعد از هر جلسه، مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. تحلیل آماری داده ها با استفاده از روش تحلیل واریانس دوراهه با اندازه گیری های مکرر و همچنین آزمون تعقیبی توکی در سطح معنی داریp<0/05  انجام شد. یافته ها: نتایج نشان داد که انرژی مصرفی (0001/0 p<)، تهویه ریوی (0001/0 p<)، نسبت تهویه دقیقه ای به دی اکسیدکربن  (0002/0 p=)، اکسیژن مصرفی (0001/0 p<)، و ضربان قلب (04/0=p)؛ پس از مداخله فعالیت ورزشی فزآینده و فعالیت ورزشی فزآینده+ EMSدر مقایسه با EMS؛ به طور معنی دار افزایش پیدا کرده است؛ در حالی که  این شاخص ها بین فعالیت ورزشی فزآینده و فعالیت ورزشی فزآینده+EMS، تفاوت معنی داری نداشتند (48/p=0). از طرف دیگر، میزان فشارخون سیستولیک دوره ریکاوری بین هر سه مداخله، تفاوت معنی داری نداشت (83/p=0). نتیجه گیری: فعالیت ورزشی فزآینده در مقایسه با EMS، تأثیر بیشتری بر شاخص های قلبی-تنفسی از جمله مصرف اکسیژن، ضربان قلب، تهویه دقیقه ای و انرژی مصرفی  دارد و سبب بازگشت سریع تر این پارامترها به مقادیر پایه در مرحله بازیابی پس از فعالیت می شود.

تأثیر مکمل گیری اینفلاما- X بر شاخص های سرمی آسیب عضلانی و التهابی کشتی گیران متعاقب اجرای پروتکل ترکیبی SWPT-SWFT(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

زمینه و هدف: در کشتی، زمان استراحت بین دو زمان (راند) مسابقه، کوتاه است؛ این شرایط موجب از دست رفتن و عدم بازسازی کامل ذخایر انرژی بدن شده و فرد دچار خستگی و نهایتاً مستعد آسیب دیدگی می شود. از طرف دیگر، چنین فعالیت هایی که با انقباضات برون گرای شدید انجام می شود، با اختلالات مکانیکی و متابولیکی همراه است.  از این رو، هدف از انجام پژوهش حاضر، تعیین تاثیر مکمل یاری کوتاه مدت اینفلاما-X بر شاخص های آسیب عضلانی و التهابی متعاقب پروتکل ترکیبی SWPT-SWFT در کشتی گیران بود. روش تحقیق: تعداد ۲۴ کشتی گیر جوان به صورت تصادفی، به دو گروه مکمل - تمرین (12 نفر)، و دارونما - تمرین (12 نفر)، تقسیم شدند. کشتی گیران از 10 روز  قبل از اجرای پروتکل ترکیبی، روزانه دو عدد مکمل اینفلاما-X با دوز 15 میلی گرم و یا دارونما با همان مقدار و تعداد را به صورت ناشتا مصرف کردند. نمونه خونی قبل از شروع پروتکل ترکیبی، بلافاصله بعد از مرحله اول، دوم و چهارم پروتکل مذکور، و نهایتا 48 ساعت پس از پروتکل ترکیبی؛ اخذ گردید. سطوح شاخص های کراتین کیناز (CK)، لاکتات دهیدروژناز (LDH)، پروتئین واکنشگر- C (CRP) با روش الایزا مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفتند. به منظور تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها از روش تحلیل واریانس با اندازه گیری مکرر ترکیبی در سطح معنی داری 05 / 0>p استفاده شد. یافته ها: در هیچ یک از مراحل خونگیری، مقادیر سرمی CK و LDH تفاوت معنی داری بین دو گروه نداشت (05 / 0<p). با این حال، مقادیر سرمیCRP  گروه مکمل – تمرین در مراحل چهارم و پنجم به طور معنی دار از گروه دارونما - تمرین پایین تر بود (05 / 0>p)؛ در حالی که در مراحل خونگیری اول، دوم و سوم؛ بین دو گروه تفاوت معنی داری وجود نداشت (05 / 0<p). نتیجه گیری: به نظر می رسد در رقابت های کشتی، استفاده از مکمل اینفلاما-X می تواند در پیشگیری از التهاب عمومی سودمند باشد. ولیکن در خصوص نقش این مکمل در جلوگیری از افزایش نشانگرهای آسیب عضلانی در کشتی گیران، بررسی های بیشتری نیاز است.

The effect of chamomile extract on antioxidant indices in young female futsal players

Background: Limited research has investigated the use of chamomile as an antioxidant supplement in team sports . Purpose : The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of chamomile extract on antioxidant indices in young female futsal players. Methods : 20 young female futsal players (Average age: 22.08 ± 5.03 years, weight: 54.4 ± 8.62 kg, and body mass index: 20.56 ± 2.6 kg/m2) were divided randomly into two groups, experimental group (10 people) and control group (10 people). The experimental group consumed 1500 mg/day of the supplement for one week, while the control group received a placebo. Both groups were nutritionally controlled during this period. After the end of the intervention period, two simultaneous futsal matches were held for two groups (two teams of 5 players in each match). Anthropometric characteristics were evaluated in resting conditions and biochemical markers were measured before the intervention, immediately after the competition, and 30 minutes after the competition. Data analysis was performed using the repeated measurement variance test. The level of significance was considered at P<0.05. Results : The results showed a significant increase in SOD levels (P<0.05) and a significant decrease in CAT levels (P<0.05) immediately after the competition in the supplement group, but this significance was not seen 30 minutes after the competition. Conclusion : One-week consumption of chamomile improves antioxidant defense in young female futsal players. Conducting studies with long-term follow-up to confirm these findings should be considered.

Comparison of performance indicators between different football positions using the global positioning system (GPS)

The purpose of this study is to compare the performance indicators between different football positions using the Global Positioning System (GPS) in Iranian Premier League football players. This is quasi-experimental study. To conduct this research, 18 football players who are members of a club in the Iranian Premier League were selected as the available sample, and the players were divided into 6 groups based on the game post. Then the data related to the players' performance (total distance, distance traveled with maximum speed, duration of maximum speed, maximum speed, sprints, number of accelerations, and number of decelerations) in 6 consecutive matches Collected using Global Positioning System (GPS). Also, one-way ANOVA analysis and SPSS software were used for data analysis at a significant level (α = 0.05). Based on the findings of the present study, between different football positions for the variables of total distance (P≤0.00), distance traveled at maximum speed (P≤0.00), duration of maximum speed (P≤0.00), maximum speed (P≤0.00), sprints (P≤0.00), number of accelerations (P≤0.00) and number of decelerations (P≤0.00) there are significant differences. There are many fundamental differences between the performance indicators of different football positions with each other it is necessary to recognize these differences and it is necessary to consider special exercises according to the physiological needs of each post.

Background: Exposure to high altitude causes significant stress in the functioning of cardiovascular and respiratory systems.Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in systolic and diastolic blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR) and pulmonary volumes during the classic ascent of Damavand 5671 m peak.Materials and Methods: 14 healthy male climbers (age = 23.85±5.93 years, height = 175.5±5.91 cm, weight =71.35±8.20 kg) participated voluntarily in this study. BP, HR and lung volumes were measured in basic (2000 M), BC (3100 m) the first day, C1 (3650 m) the first day, BC (3100 m) the second day after the one-night stopover, C1 (3650 m) the second day, C2 (4100 m) the second day, C2 (4100 M) third day after the one-night stopover, C3 (5000 m) and, peak (5671 m). Data were compared by repeated measures test at the significant level of P≤0.05 and Bonferroni post hoc test.Results: The results of repeated measures analysis were significant for HR, systolic BP, diastolic BP and MVV (P<0.05), but not significant for FVC and FEV1 (P≥0.05). BP was high in the base camp and the first camp and gradually decreased. HR continued to increase significantly with increasing altitude. MVV increased with increasing altitude and is reduced after the one-night stopover in each height.Conclusion: It can be concluded that climbing with classic method increased the HR and decreased systolic and diastolic BP of climbers. It was able to induce adaptation in lung volumes of climbers.

اثر هشت هفته تمرینات تناوبی با شدت بالا بر تعادل اکسیدانی و آنتی اکسیدانی و شاخص های عملکرد حرکتی در افراد سالمند(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

زمینه و هدف: افزایش رادیکال های آزاد و استرس اکسیداتیو از عواملی هستند که فرآیند پیری را تسریع می کنند. هدف تحقیق حاضر، بررسی تاثیر هشت هفته تمرین تناوبی با شدت بالا (HIIT) بر ظرفیت اکسیدانی و آنتی اکسیدانی و  شاخص های عملکرد حرکتی در افراد سالمندان  بود.  روش تحقیق: شرکت کنندگان تحقیق را  تعداد 24 نفر از سالمندان شهرستان بندرعباس (میانگین سنی 06/5 ±88/71 سال) تشکیل می دادند. آزمودنی ها به صورت تصادفی به  دو گروه 12 نفری شامل گروه کنترل و HIIT تقسیم شدند. سپس، آزمودنی های گروه تمرین به مدت هشت هفته، سه روز در هفته، به اجرای HIIT در چهار نوبت سه دقیقه ای با شدت 85 تا 95 درصد حداکثر ضربان قلب و سه نوبت سه دقیقه ای استراحت فعال با شدت 65 تا 75 درصد حداکثر ضربان قلب پرداختند. 24 ساعت قبل و 48 ساعت بعد از آخرین جلسه HIIT، متغیرهای مورد بررسی با روش های استاندارد مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفتند. برای تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها از آزمون تحلیل کوواریانس در سطح معنی داری 05/0≥p استفاده شد. یافته ها: هشت هفته HIIT باعث کاهش معنی دار وضعیت اکسیدانی تام سرمی از یک سو؛ و افزایش معنی دار ظرفیت آنتی اکسیدانی تام و سسترین-2 سرمی از سوی دیگر شد (001/0>p). همچنین،  هشت HIIT توانست شاخص های عملکردی سرعت حرکت (001/0>p)، بلند شدن و رفتن (05/0>p)، و حداکثر اکسیژن مصرفی (001/0>p) در افراد سالمند را بهبود ببخشد. با این حال، این تمرینات بر زمان آزمون برخاستن از صندلی، تاثیر معنی داری نداشت (22/0=p). نتیجه گیری: اجرای HIIT در سالمندان با در نظر گرفتن ملاحظات تمرینی، به عنوان یک روش تمرینی سودمند قابل استفاده می باشد.

Acute Response of Muscular Damage Biomarkers after HIFT Exercise in Overweight Men

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the acute effects of HIFT exercise, on creatine kinase (CK) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in blood serum in overweight adult men. Method : Twenty-two untrained non-smoker overweight men (age, 42.9 ± 5.6 years; body mass, 94.2 ± 9.3 kg; body height, 178.9 ± 4.5 cm; and BMI, 29.04 ± 3.3 kg/m2) volunteered to participate in this study and performed a session of HIFT exercise with 80-85% HRmax consisting of three sets of 10 exercises. Blood samples were collected before and immediately after training to measure serum CK and LDH levels. Results: The HIFT protocol significantly increased serum CK (Pre: 114.6 U/L; Post: 124.3U/L; p< 0.05{t=-5.48, p=0.001}); Also, LDH had a significant increase (pre:213.4 U/L, post: 225.4U/L; p<0.05{t=-4.09, p=0.001}). Conclusion: It can be concluded that HIFT with AMRAP (as many repeats as possible) protocol will lead to a significant increase in some indicators of muscle damage such as CK and LDH levels in overweight men. This protocol can lead to muscle damage in overweight men.

Relationship between indicators affecting osteoporosis and femoral bone mineral density in active and inactive elderly men

Background: Osteoporosis is a decrease in bone density among older adults that can lead to painful fractures and disability. People in developing countries are not interested in examining bone mineral density until fractures occur. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the indicators affecting osteoporosis with femoral mineral density in active and inactive elderly men.Methods: A total of 45 active and 45 inactive men with an age range of 70 to 85 years with medical records and clinical trials were selected. Anthropometric characteristics and serum indices of the subjects were used as effective indicators of osteoporosis. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to find the relationship between the indicators and the mineral density of the femur. SPSS software version 26 was used for data analysis.Results: The results of the present study showed that in both groups of active and inactive elderly men, a significant relationship was observed between anthropometric characteristics and serum indices with bone mineral density (P≤0.05). No significant relationship was found between other indicators.Conclusion: In general, the results show that there is a significant relationship between bone density and weight, body mass index, age, calcium, phosphorus and serum alkaline phosphatase of all subjects. Therefore, in adulthood and old age, these blood and anthropometric variables can be used to identify people at risk for osteoporosis.

Relationship between the Level of Physical Activity and Nutritional Status with Fatigue in Elderly Residents of Rest Homes in Tehran

Purpose: On the other hand, fatigue is one of the most important indicators of aging syndrome. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the level of physical activity and fatigue in elderly residents of rest homes in Tehran. Method: This was a descriptive correlational study in which 20 rest homes located in Tehran province constituted the study population. By visiting rest homes, the eligible subjects were chosen. Physical activity was measured by the Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE). The FACIT Fatigue Scale is a short, 13-item, easy to administer tool that measures an individual’s level of fatigue during their usual daily activities over the past week. Nutritional status was evaluated by mini nutritional assessment (MNA). Results: The results of statistical analysis indicated a significant and positive correlation between PASE and FACIT scores (r=0.48, p<0.01) while, there was a significant negative correlation between FACIT score and age (r=-0.23, p<0.01). Also, there was a significant positive correlation between MNA and FACIT (r=0.40, p<0.01). In addition, a significant positive correlation was found between MNA and PASE score (r=0.31, p<0.01). Conclusions: The findings of this study indicate that holding sports classes under the supervision of exercise physiologists is an essential matter to increase health and prevent age-related complications in elderly residents of Tehran rest homes.

تاثیر مکمل HMB-FA بر پاسخ های هورمونی و ریکاوری کشتی گیران نخبه حین پروتکل شبیه سازی شده کشتی(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

زمینه و هدف : به نظر می رسد استفاده از مکمل های تغذیه ای می تواند ترشح هورمون های آنابولیک را در فرآیند تمرین-ریکاوری متاثر سازد. هدف از تحقیق حاضر، تعیین تأثیر مکمل بتا هیدروکسی بتا متیل بوتیرات به شکل اسید آزاد (HMB-FA) بر پاسخ های هورمونی و ریکاوری حین پروتکل شبیه سازی شده کشتی در کشتی گیران به مدت یک شب و یک روز بوده است. روش تحقیق : تعداد 20 کشتی گیر مرد انتخاب شده و به طور تصادفی در دو گروه مکمل - تمرین (10 نفر) و دارونما - تمرین (10 نفر) قرار گرفتند. هر یک از گروه ها، مکمل یا دارونما را به میزان 3 گرم/روز دریافت کردند. شرکت کنندگان یک پروتکل اختصاصی شبیه سازی شده کشتی را  پنج بار و هر بار مشتمل بر چهار بخش تکرار کردند. نمونه های خونی جهت اندازه گیری مقادیر سرمی عامل رشد شبه انسولین-۱ (IGF-1)، کورتیزول (Cort) و نسبت IGF-1/Cort قبل از مصرف مکمل، بعد از مصرف مکمل، بلافاصله بعد از تکرار اول پروتکل اختصاصی کشتی، بلافاصله بعد از تکرار سوم پروتکل اختصاصی کشتی و بلافاصله بعد از تکرار پنجم پروتکل اختصاصی کشتی؛ اخذ گردید. وضعیت ریکاوری درک شده (PRS) بلافاصله قبل از تکرارهای اول، دوم، سوم، چهارم و پنجم پروتکل اختصاصی کشتی، ارزیابی شد. نتایج با استفاده از آزمون های تحلیل کوواریانس و تحلیل واریانس با اندازه گیری مکرر در سطح معنی داری 0/05>p استخراج گردید. یافته ها : مقادیر سرمی IGF-1 بعد از مصرف مکمل (0/001=p) و بعد اولین (0/004=p)، سومین (0/004=p) و پنجمین (0/01=p) پروتکل اختصاصی کشتی در گروه HMB-FA نسبت به گروه دارونما، بیشتر افزایش یافت. همچنین مقادیر سرمی IGF-1/Cort بعد از مصرف مکمل (0/001=p) و بعد اولین (0/001=p)، سومین (0/003=p) و پنجمین (0/001=p) پروتکل اختصاصی کشتی در گروه HMB-FA نسبت به گروه دارونما، بیشتر افزایش یافت؛ اما مقادیر Cort در گروه داورنما نسبت به گروه HMB-FA بعد از مصرف مکمل (0/006=p) و بعد اولین (0/002=p)، سومین (0/008=p) و پنجمین (0/002=p) پروتکل اختصاصی کشتی افزایش بیشتری پیدا کرد. از طرف دیگر، PRS در گروه دارونما نسبت به گروه HMB-FA  قبل از اولین، دومین، سومین، چهارمین و پنچمین پروتکل اختصاصی کشتی کاهش بیشتری نشان داد (0/05>p). نتیجه گیری : به نظر می رسد مکمل گیری HMB-FA پاسخ های هورمونی کشتی گیران را حین اجرای یک پروتکل شبیه سازی شده کشتی بهبود می بخشد.

Comparing the effect of High Intensity Interval Training and Moderate Intensity Aerobic Training on serum levels of homocysteine and lipid profiles in overweight inactive men

Purpose: The aim of this study was compares the effects of 10 weeks High Intensity Interval training (HIIT) and moderate intensity aerobic training (MIAT) on serum levels of homocysteine and some cardiovascular risk factors in overweight inactive men. Methods: In this semi-experimental study, nineteen overweight men voluntarily participated in this study and were randomly divided to 2 Groups: High Intensity Interval training (HIIT) and moderate intensity aerobic training (MIAT). Subjects performed training programs for 10 weeks, 3 sessions per week. The levels of homocysteine and lipid profile were measured before and after 10 weeks of training programs. For statistical data analysis, independent and paired t tests were used and considered significant at a p≤0.05.   Results: The results of this study showed that both High Intensity Interval training and moderate intensity aerobic training caused a significant reduction of homocysteine levels (P≤0.05). After 10 weeks of high -intensity periodic exercise, cholesterol levels (p = 0.001), LDL (p = 0.002) decreased significantly and HDL levels were significantly increased (p = 0.001), In MIAT training group, only a significant reduction in cholesterol was found (P=0.006). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it seems that both High Intensity Interval training and moderate intensity aerobic training have favorable effects in reducing body weight and some cardiovascular risk factors.

اثر مکمل گیری HMB-FA بر شاخص های آسیب عضلانی در پروتکل شبیه سازی شده کشتی در کشتی گیران نخبه(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

هدف از پژوهش حاضر، بررسی تأثیر مکمل HMB-FAبر شاخص های آسیب عضلانی در کشتی گیران نخبه بود. در مجموع بیست کشتی گیر مرد در دو گروه مکمل-ورزش (10نفر) و دارونما-ورزش (10نفر) برای شرکت در تحقیق انتخاب شدند. آزمودنی ها به مقدار g/d 3 ازHMB-FA یا دارونما را دریافت کردند. نمونه های خونی جهت اندازه گیری مقادیر کراتین کیناز (CK) سرم و لاکتات دهیدروژناز (LDH) سرم قبل از مصرف مکمل، بعد از مصرف مکمل، بلافاصله بعد از تکرار اول، سوم و پنجم پروتکل اختصاصی کشتی، گرفته شد. وضعیت ریکاوری درک شده (PRS)، بلافاصله قبل از تکرار اول، دوم، سوم، چهارم و پنجم پروتکل اختصاصی کشتی، ارزیابی شد. نتایج با استفاده از آزمون تحلیل کوواریانس آنکوا و آزمون آنالیز واریانس با اندازه گیری های تکراری تجزیه و تحلیل شد. یافته های این پژوهش نشان داد که مقادیر شاخص های آسیب عضلانی شامل CK، LDH نسبت به گروه دارونما به میزان بیشتری در گروه HMB-FA کاهش یافت (05/0>p). همچنین تغییر قابل توجهی برای PRS وجود داشت که نسبت به گروه HMB-FA به میزان بیشتری در گروه دارونما کاهش یافت (05/0>p). بنابراین می توان نتیجه گرفت که مکمل گیری HMB-FA شاخص های آسیب عضلانی در پروتکل شبیه سازی شده کشتی در کشتی گیران نخبه را بهبود می بخشد.

Anthropomorphic and Body Composition Differences in Prediabetes and Normal Subjects

Purpose: Prediabetes refers to a condition where the level of fasting blood sugar reaches 100- 125 mg/dl. The prediabetes pervasiveness is growing throughout the world. The main objective of the present research is the exploration of the body composition and anthropomorphic differences among prediabetes and normal people for finding the plans for scanning prediabetes and the impact of exercise on it. Method: The present descriptive cross-sectional research conducted on 251 people. The signed informed consents and information of the education, age, exercise etc. gathered. Then, blood glucose tested, and 133 and 118 participants respectively had been chosen for the prediabetes and normal groups. Digital scales, wall stadiometer, tape measure and body composition monitor had been employed to measure anthropomorphic and body composition indices. Results: Total pervasiveness of prediabetes was 52.98% that accounted for 41.03% of the male and 11.95% of the female. Any significant differences didn’t found in the education level, exercise and physical activity between two groups (p>0.05). However, there was a significant difference in the age just in the male group (p=0.043). It found that the prediabetic participants experience visceral fat, BMI, WC, and WHR higher than the normal participants (p=0.037, p=0.010, p=0.000, and p=0.002, respectively) just in the female group. Conclusions: It has been concluded that anthropomorphic and body composition have differences between normal and prediabetes participants; therefore, they may be used as the screening programs. Moreover, it has been suggested that prediabetes can be prevented by controlling anthropometric and body composition indices by exercise.

The Effect of 6 Weeks of High-Intensity Exercise Training on Serum Calcium of Martial Arts Women

Purpose: Cell homeostasis is an essential factor in maintaining cellular health and intracellular mechanisms, which can also be associated with inflammatory factors and increased stress for muscle cell health. Calcium is also a necessary factor in cell health and is to establish homeostasis in the body . This study aimed to investigate the effect of high-intensity training on serum calcium levels in combat women. Method: For this purpose, 18 women karateka in the age range of 17 to 23 years were randomly divided into 2 groups: control (n=7) and exercise ((n=11). The exercise group performed proper exercises to improve karate and aerobic techniques for 6 weeks in the intensities of more than 80% of the maximum heart rate reserve.  Physiological indices and blood samples were measured 24 hours before and 48 hours after the training protocol.  To measure calcium cell biomarker, the Pars Azmoon calcium kit was used.  Research data were analysed by covariance test at the significant level (P≤0.05) using SPSS software version 25 . Results: After six weeks of high-intensity training, there was a significant difference in serum calcium levels in the exercise group compared to the control group (P = 0.002).  Also, the results within the group showed a significant increase in serum calcium (P = 0.016) in the exercise group compared to baseline conditions. Conclusions: High intensity training seems to increase serum calcium in female athletes, and this can lead to precursors to cellular disorders, muscle damage and increase inflammatory factors and ultimately decrease the performance of female athletes. However, more research is essential in this regard .

Background and Purpose: Overweight and obesity in childhood are associated with the potential risk of cardiovascular disease and metabolic syndrome in adulthood. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 12 weeks of moderate endurance training on lipid profile and body composition of overweight girls. Material and Method: The present study was semi-experimental with pre-test and post-test design, in which 19 overweight girls aged 8 to 12 were randomly selected. Before and after intervention, body composition of subjects was measured under fasting conditions by BODY LOGIC BODY FAT ANALYZER and biochemical indices were measured and recorded by enzyme-calorimetric method. Results: Statistical analysis showed that 12 weeks of endurance training resulted in a significant reduction in triglycerides levels (p<0.025) and body fat percentage (p<0.002), while no significant change was found in cholesterol serum levels and body mass index. Conclusions: The findings of this study suggested that moderate intensity endurance training lead to improvement of body composition and biochemical parameters related to obesity in overweight girls, which reflected the vital role of these training in preventing obesity and related cardiovascular diseases among children and adolescents.

Relationship between the Level of Physical Activity and Nutritional Status with Fatigue in Elderly Residents of Rest Homes in Tehran

Purpose: On the other hand, fatigue is one of the most important indicators of aging syndrome. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the level of physical activity and fatigue in elderly residents of rest homes in Tehran. Method: This was a descriptive correlational study in which 20 rest homes located in Tehran province constituted the study population. By visiting rest homes, the eligible subjects were chosen. Physical activity was measured by the Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE). The FACIT Fatigue Scale is a short, 13-item, easy to administer tool that measures an individual’s level of fatigue during their usual daily activities over the past week. Nutritional status was evaluated by mini nutritional assessment (MNA). Results: The results of statistical analysis indicated a significant and positive correlation between PASE and FACIT scores (r=0.48, p<0.01) while, there was a significant negative correlation between FACIT score and age (r=-0.23, p<0.01). Also, there was a significant positive correlation between MNA and FACIT (r=0.40, p<0.01). In addition, a significant positive correlation was found between MNA and PASE score (r=0.31, p<0.01). Conclusions: The findings of this study indicate that holding sports classes under the supervision of exercise physiologists is an essential matter to increase health and prevent age-related complications in elderly residents of Tehran rest homes.

The Effect of Moderate Intensity Aerobic Exercise on Breast Milk IgA Concentrations

Background: The immune properties of mothers’ milk are well known. But the effects of physical activity on humeral immune properties of mothers’ milk is still undetermined. Therefore, reports on the impact of exercise on IgA concentrations of mothers’ milk is controversial. The purpose of the present study was the investigation of the effects of selected aerobic exercises in maximum intensity of 60-70% of heart rate reserve on IgA concentrations in breast milk as well as body composition. Method: In this research, 28 sedentary women (29±5.7 years; VO2max 36±4 ml/Kg/min), divided into two exercise and control groups through random sampling, took part. The exercise group performed some particular exercises for 10 weeks whereas the control group did not do so. Milk samples were taken from both groups and measured by the ELISA method. Body composition was also measured in different stages of the study. Results: In the rest status, the two groups were identical in terms of IgA concentrations (p= 0.549) and body composition (p=0.204). IgA concentrations under exercise load of 60% (p=0.060) and 70% (p= 0.001) of the HRR respectively showed a significant increase as compared to the resting status mean values in the two groups. Body composition variables were only of significant values in terms of comparing the general effects, only in the factors of group (p=0.003) and reciprocal effect of the grouping - the duration of the exercises (p=0.024). Conclusions: The results of this research show that, under the effects of moderate intensity exercise, the mothers’ secretory immune system experiences some changes. Therefore, IgA concentrations in the milk increase. In addition, with the reduction of fat weight, the decrease of fat mass percentage, and increase in the body density, the level of the mothers’ aerobic fitness is increased, which is in no contradiction with their lactation performance.

مقایسه اثر دو شیوه تمرینی تناوبی شدید و تمرین تداومی با شدت متوسط بر عوامل پیش بینی کننده منتخب نارسایی قلبی در زنان یائسه کم تحرک(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

فعالیت بدنی خطر ابتلا به بیماری های قلبی عروقی را با تعدیل فرایند التهاب کاهش می دهد. دراین راستا، هدف از پژوهش حاضر مقایسه دو شیوه تمرینی تناوبی شدید و تمرین تداومی با شدت متوسط بر عوامل پیش بینی کننده نارسایی قلبی در زنان یائسه کم تحرک بود. در این پژوهش 30 زن یائسه کم تحرک (با میانگین ± انحراف معیار سنی 49/45 ± 0/55 سال؛ وزن 59/1 ± 26/71 کیلوگرم) سالم شهر اصفهان انتخاب شده و به سه گروه تمرین تناوبی شدید، تمرین تداومی با شدت متوسط و کنترل تقسیم گردیدند. گروه تمرین تناوبی شدید در برنامه ای با شدت 60 تا 90 درصد ضربان قلب ذخیره و گروه تمرین تداومی با شدت متوسط در برنامه ای با شدت 50 تا 65 درصد ضربان قلب ذخیره شرکت کردند؛ اما گروه کنترل درطول این دوره در هیچ گونه برنامه ورزشی منظمی شرکت نکرد. در این پژوهش پروتئین واکنشگر سی و شاخص های نیم رخ لیپیدی، قبل و بعد از هشت هفته با استفاده از آزمون تحلیل واریانس با اندازه های تکراری در سه گروه مقایسه گردید. نتایج نشان دهنده کاهش معنادار نشانگر التهابی پروتئین واکنشگر سی و افزایش معنادار لیپوپروتئین پرچگال در گروه تمرین تناوبی شدید نسبت به دو گروه دیگر می باشد. همچنین، افزایش معنادار نسبت لیپوپروتئین پرچگال به لیپوپروتئین کم چگال در هر دو گروه تمرینی نسبت به گروه کنترل مشاهده می شود. به طورکلی، یافته های این پژوهش نشان دهنده نقش مؤثرتر تمرینات تناوبی شدید نسبت به تمرینات تداومی با شدت متوسط در پیشگیری از بیماری های قلبی عروقی در زنان یائسه می باشد.
