از سیلیکسیون دو ناتور تا انتخاب طبیعی؛ تحقیقی در واژه گزینی ایرانیان (مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

چکیده
پیش از این در مقاله ای که در همین مجله منتشر شده بود، نکاتی در باره واژه تکامل و پیشینه آن در متون فارسی، عربی و ترکی عثمانی آمده بود. در ادامه آن تحقیق، اینک به بررسی واژه «انتخاب طبیعی» و معادل های مختلف آن در زبان های مذکور پرداخته ام. در این مقاله با بررسی اسناد مختلف نشان داده ام که ترکیب «انتخاب طبیعی» که از زبان عربی وارد شده بود، توانست در بین ایرانیان رواج یابد. یعنی درست برخلاف واژه《تکامل》 که از ترکان عثمانی وام گرفته شده بود. بررسی واژه ها و معادل هایی که روشنفکران ایرانی برای کلمات فرنگی انتخاب می کرده اند بخشی از پژوهشی است که می تواند نوعی جامعه شناسی تاریخی علم تلقی شود و پژوهش های مرتبط را با درک بهتری نسبت به تاریخ ورود علوم جدید به ایران پیش ببرد.From “Selection de Nature” to “Natural Selection”: A Study on the Lexical Choices of Iranians
Earlier, in an article published in the same magazine, some points were made about the word “evolution” and its background in Ottoman Persian, Arabic and Turkish texts. In the continuation of the same article, I have discussed the term natural selection and examined its different equivalents in the aforementioned languages. In this article, by examining various documents, I have shown that the combination of “natural selection” which was imported from Arabic was able to spread among Iranians. Just in contrast to “Takmal”, which was borrowed from the Ottoman Turks. Examining the words and equivalents chosen by Iranian intellectuals for foreign words is part of a research that can be considered a kind of historical sociology of science and advance related research with a better understanding of the history of the arrival of new sciences in Iran.
