چکیده
تنی چند از قرآن پژوهان، به ویژه در عصر حاضر به پژوهش آماری در قرآن کریم پرداخته اند و هدف آن ها عمدتاً اثبات اعجاز قرآن کریم از راه تحلیل های عددی و آماری است. اما یکی از دغدغه های قرآن پژوهان همواره این است که تا چه اندازه می توان به نتایج این پژوهش ها اعتماد کرد و بدان استناد جست؟ در پی سنجش درستی نتایج چنین بررسی هایی، به بررسی اجمالی رسم الخط عربی عموماً و رسم المصحف خصوصاً پرداخته ایم. نتیجه بررسی ها در این زمینه نشان می دهد که پژوهشگران عددی و آماری به سبب ناآشنایی با مسئله خط و کتابت و تاریخ نگارش مصاحف، خط مصاحف متداول را حقیقتی ثابت و تغییرناپذیر تلقی کرده اند، درحالی که در نوشتن بسیاری از کلمات و حروف در عربی و به ویژه در مصاحف، دستوری یکسان و مورد اتفاق همگان در اختیار نداریم، چندان که با نوشتن یک حرف یا یک کلمه یا یک جمله به دو یا چند شکل، از تحلیل های آماری نتایج متفاوتی حاصل می شود. این بررسی ها به روشنی نشان می دهد که نتایج بسیاری از این پژوهش ها -البته نه همه آن ها- اطمینان بخش نیست و به درنگ و تأمل بیشتر نیاز دارد.A Critique on Statistical Studies in the Holy Quran based on the Characteristics of Muṣḥaf Script
Some Quranic scholars, especially at the present time, have conducted statistical research on the Holy Quran, and their main goal is to prove the miraculous aspects of Quran through numerical and statistical analysis. However, the degree to which one can trust the results of such studies has been a great concern. In order to evaluate the correctness of the results of such investigations, we have reviewed the Arabic script in general and the script of Muṣḥaf (a written copy of the Quran) in particular. The results show that numerical and statistical researchers, due to their unfamiliarity with the calligraphy, script and date of writing of the Muṣḥafs , have considered the script of the famous Muṣḥafs as a fixed and unchangeable fact, while in writing many words and letters in Arabic, especially in Muṣḥafs , there is not one identical instruction that is agreed upon by all. Therefore, different possible ways for writing one single letter, word or sentence may bring about different results in the statistical analyses. This clearly shows that the results of many -not all- of these studies are not assured and need to be considered with more caution and thought.
