The present study is aimed at dealing with stress management strategies and impulsivity in opiate abusers, sedative and stimulus is conducted. In the study, a causal-comparative method was adopted. Research participants included 180 drug users inhabiting the already determined addiction centers in Shiraz. They were selected using Available random sampling. To collect the data, stress management strategies and impulsivity scales were employed, and to analyze the results, descriptive statistical methods and variance analysis were used. The results indicated that abuse stimulating consumers significantly more than consumers emotion-centered use of opioids and moderator of coping strategies virgin (0.007), but abusers response-moderator (0.26) and opioids - moderator (0.43) were not significantly different. As well as the construction abusers significantly greater impulsivity as compared to the stimulus (0.012) and opioids (0.005) showed, but stimulants and opioids two groups had no significant differences in impulsivity variables (0.94). It can be said that the research is based on the type of substance, in terms of coping with stress and control of their impulsivity, of consumers stimulants other than using virgin materials more negatively of coping with stress and drug abuse-moderator of impulsivity than other people are experiencing abuse.

This descriptive quantitative study scrutinized the relationship between impulsive and reflective EFL learners’ oral communication strategies (OCS) and willingness to communicate (WTC). To this end, 114 impulsive and reflective graduate-level EFL learners (67% female; 33% male), within the age range of 23 to 40, were selected employing convenience sampling. The data collection instruments were the impulsiveness sub-scale of Eysenck’s impulsivity inventory (Eysenck & Eysenck, 1978), the OCS inventory (Nakatani, 2006), and the WTC scale (McCroskey, 1992). Subsequent to checking and verifying the pertinent assumptions, using Pearson’s correlation coefficient indicated that there existed a positive yet insignificant correlation between impulsive EFL learners’ OCS and their WTC; however, a positive and significant correlation between reflective EFL learners’ OCS and their WTC was observed. In addition, the results of linear regression analyses and comparing the β values revealed that impulsive EFL learners’ OCS cannot significantly predict their WTC whereas reflective EFL learners’ OCS can significantly predict their WTC. In general, the obtained results confirmed that OCS can positively affect EFL learners’ WTC, although attention should be paid to learners’ impulsivity o reflectivity prior to planning the pedagogical practice.

Purpose: This study endeavored to find out the possible relationship between reflectivity and impulsivity as cognitive learning styles and vocabulary/ grammar development as sub-skills among EFL learners.  Methodology: Two intact classes of the third-grade students were selected by the researchers and Oxford Placement Test was run for homogenizing them. After that, Barrat’s (2005) Impulsive/ Reflective questionnaire was given to the participants and they had to respond the translated items in a limited time. Regarding the score scale provided by the questionnaire, the participants were labeled as reflective and impulsive ones. Next, a standard grammar/vocabulary test, extracted from their book, administered to them and the scores were recorded by the researchers. Then, the scores of the questionnaires and tests sent to SPSS software for analyzing and interpreting the data. In inferential statistics, the researchers used correlation test to examine the possible relationship between the students' learning styles and their sub-skills development.  Findings: Results of the study indicated a positive relationship between the students' sub-skills achievements (vocabulary/ grammar) and their learning styles (reflectivity/ impulsivity). In other words, reflectivity and impulsivity had effect on the students' performance in sub-skills, as the reflective students presented better performance and made fewer errors than the impulsive ones in vocabulary and grammar tests.  Conclusion: According to the results, it can be concluded that the higher the reflectivity of the learners is, the more successful they tend to be in such tests. It is expected that the findings of the research indicate the importance of learning styles in educational environment.

This study aimed to compare impulsivity, sleep disorder, and suicidal thoughts in marijuana users and non-users. The present study was a comparative causal study. The statistical population of this study included students consuming marijuana as well as non-consuming students at the University of Gilan. Fifty male students consuming marijuana in the age group of 18 to 33 years were selected by purposive and snowballs sampling, and 50 non-consuming students were selected and placed in the other group. Participants completed the Bart (1995) Impulse Scale, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (1989), and the Beck Suicide Thought Scale (1961), respectively. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance, chi-square test, and independent t-test with SPSS-22 software. The results showed that marijuana users scored higher on all three subscales of impulsivity, i.e., cognitive, motor, and unplanned impulsivity, and showed a significant difference with the non-consumer group. In terms of sleep disorders, marijuana abusers in six subscales out of seven subscales, i.e., mental quality, sleep delay, sufficient sleep, sleep disorders, hypnotic drug, and daily sleep disorders, a significant difference with the non-consumer group. Moreover, in the suicidal ideation scale, people with marijuana abuse had a higher mean score on the Beck suicidal thoughts scale. Conclusion: The research findings can be used in designing therapeutic interventions for people addicted to marijuana.

Purpose: Individuals going through adolescence faced a significant number of changes from biological, and cognitive to social and emotional. Due to the changes experienced by adolescents, it is susceptible for adolescents to experience a high level of loneliness. The correlation between loneliness and impulsivity and the association between impulsivity and self-harm as well as self-injurious behaviors puts adolescents in a vulnerable position in performing undesirable acts or behaviors. On the other hand, resilience plays a significant role in an individual’s ability to cope with an adverse situation or bounce back quickly after the undesired situation in order to maintain or regain mental health. Therefore, the objective of this study is to run review research through contemporary studies to summarize accumulative documents in the area of resilience, loneliness, and impulsivity among adolescents to investigate the mediating role of resilience. Methodology: For this, a search was carried out on the Web of Science, Google Scholar, and PubMed. Thus, a set of keywords was used, followed by filtering main keywords, resulting in a review of 99 articles published a decade ago. Findings: The results demonstrated that the number of adolescents having mental illness increased significantly over the years, and adolescents aged 16 and above are at risk of mental disorders. Besides that, this research revealed that adolescents in Malaysia are at risk of peer and social rejection, which is highly associated with loneliness and also has a correlation with aggression and impulsivity. Conclusion: It was seen that loneliness and impulsivity are essential risk factors for adolescents’ mental health and resilience can consider effective cognitive and coping skills for adolescents. It was also perceived that most of the papers focus on the investigation of the correlation between loneliness, impulsivity, and resilience, being necessary to develop more experimental studies on the effectiveness of resilience therapy for adolescents’ enrichment. These results serve as a source of reference for future research.
