This study examines whether the geographic distribution of lacrosse talent, as indicated by NCAA Division I All-American awards, has shifted from traditional hotbed states Maryland and New York to other regions over the past 25 years. Data on NCAA Division I All-American lacrosse players from 2000 to 2024 were collected and divided into five periods: 2000-2004, 2005-2009, 2010-2014, 2015-2019, and 2020-2024. The number and percentage of award winners from each state were calculated, and the number of states represented each year was tracked. This was compared with the growth in high school lacrosse participation. Maryland and New York's dominance decreased from 75.0% of All-American winners in 2000-2004 to 39.1% in 2020-2024. Concurrently, high school lacrosse participation grew from 46,206 in 2002-2003 to 107,865 in 2021-2022. The number of states represented increased from 8 in 2002 to 16 in 2024, indicating broader talent distribution. The decreased dominance of Maryland and New York suggests a diversification of lacrosse talent, aligning with nationwide participation growth and more states producing All-American players. This diversification highlights the successful expansion of the sport, ensuring a more inclusive talent pool and reflecting the positive impact of increased access to lacrosse across the country. Lacrosse development programs and recruitment strategies should expand beyond traditional hotbeds to support emerging regions, fostering a more inclusive and diverse talent pool, and enhancing the sport's growth at all levels.

Phenomenological Analysis of Sports Club Customers' gratitude(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
The aim of this study was to analyze the phenomenology of sports club customers' gratitude. The method of this research is qualitative and its approach is hermeneutic phenomenology. The participants of this research were 14 customers of sports clubs who had experienced gratitude. These people were selected, using purposeful sampling based on theoretical saturation. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data. In this study, the strategies of credibility, transferability, conformability, process audit study, and inter-coder agreement were employed to assess the reliability and trustworthiness of the results. The data was analyzed using Van Manen's (2016) phenomenological method in three stages of coding. Based on the holistic and selective analysis, 6 main themes with 14 sub-themes emerged from the combination of 53 sub-themes. It was also found that the behavioral performance of employees, organizational factors, and individual factors are the drivers of customer appreciation, sports club customer appreciation has two behavioral and emotional aspects, and grateful customers show favorable psychological and behavioral reactions. Therefore, it can be pointed out that customer appreciation is the result of an involuntary exchange process that is accompanied by favorable psychological and behavioral reactions. In addition, any increase in customer appreciation depends on the customer's self-evaluation, the behavioral performance of employees and organizational factors.
The Role of Coaches in Talent Identification and Development Programs: A Case Study of German Football(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
We have reviewed the coaches' role in German talent identification and development football programs and followed the qualitative meta-synthesis method with Sadowski and Barroso's approach. We verified 56 documents and extracted 695 nonrepetitive open codes and 135 concepts. We showed that coaches' roles in a talent program consists of Competency, Leadership, and Organizational components. Competency components include selection, training, coaching, and performance. Leadership components include Technical and DFB & DFL. Finally, the Organizational components comprise the Double Pass, coordinators, and DFBnet. Properly organizing and equilibrium between these three parts can leverage and lead to successful coaches and the program. According to the critical role of alent programs and coaches in sports development, setting up national TID and TDE programs, especially in sports, are very important. Implementing a large-scale project with various criteria is complex; because it requires high cooperation, mutual understanding, and national determination. Many employees are involved in such systems with instrumental, scientific, experimental, and specialized aspects.
