Designing the Accreditation Model of Applied Science Higher Education Institutions in Tehran(مقاله پژوهشی وزارت بهداشت)

INTRODUCTION: The quality of education and accreditation of universities, institutions, and educational centers has always been of great concern to many groups, including managers, officials, students, parents, and employers, in the past hundred years. The purpose of current research is to design the accreditation model of applied science higher education institutions. METHODS: This qualitative research was conducted using qualitative content analysis. Its statistical population includes articles, documents, and all the key informants of applied science higher education institutions in Tehran. A total of 21 key informants were selected using the purposive and snowball sampling method and maximum diversity technique. The data were collected by semi-structured interview, observation, review of documents and scientific texts and analyzed by using MAXQDA-2022 software and weighting of factors, criteria, and indicators with the Shannon entropy method and prioritization with RANK function in Excel. FINDINGS: The results demonstrated that after weighting and prioritizing, the final research model included 33 factors, 101 criteria, and 704 indicators. There are 27 input factors, 4 process factors, 1 output factor and 1 outcome factor. CONCLUSION: The current accreditation model was prepared in accordance with the conditions of applied science higher education institutions using domestic and international experiences with a systemic approach (input, process, output, and outcome) in the form of factors, criteria, and indicators and can be used by the University of Applied Science and Technology.

Identification of dimensions and factors affecting on improvement of the educational quality of graduate students (case study: Master Architecture students of Islamic Azad University of Boshehr City)(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

The aim of the present study was to identify dimensions and dimensions and components of improving the educational quality of graduate students (master). The statistical population included all faculty and students of Islamic Azad University, Science and Research in the city of Bushehr. The sample size in accordance with the Morgan table was estimated about 201 faculties and 351 students, and that number was randomly selected from the population; Data collection instrument was a questionnaire with 93 questions, five-point Likert's scale, and the alpha coefficient of 0/95. The collected data was analyzed using exploratory factor analysis. The obtained results identified 10 dimensions and components of the students economic conditions, student facilities, library services, faculty, students, curriculum, teaching and learning methods, good communication, academic facilities and administrative services as dimensions and components of improving the educational quality of graduate students ( Master) Azad University of Bushehr, and the overall impact of these factors was 56%.

Identification and Ranking of Factors to Improve the Quality of Education in Applied Science Higher Education Institutions(مقاله پژوهشی وزارت بهداشت)

INTRODUCTION: Nowadays, quality as the heart of education has become the concern of education policymakers around the world. The present study was conducted with the aim of identifying and classifying factors for improving the quality of education in applied science higher education institutions in Tehran. METHODS: This qualitative research was conducted by using qualitative content analysis. The statistical population includes articles, documents, and all the key informants of applied science higher education institutions in Tehran city. A total of 21 key informants were selected and studied using the purposive and snowball sampling method and maximum diversity technique. Data were collected by semi-structured interview, observation, review of documents and scientific texts and analyzed using MAXQDA-2022 and weighting of factors, criteria, and indicators with the Shannon entropy method and prioritization with RANK function in Excel. The validity of data was calculated by triangulation (examiner, methods and data) and reliability between two coders (0.72) FINDINGS: The results demonstrated that the quality of education includes 33 factors. CONCLUSION: Applied science higher education institutions are required to identify and improve the quality factors of education based on ethical, professional, competitive requirements, responsibility and accountability to the needs of students, parents and employers and attracting financial resources.

Understanding Teachers' Experiences of the Effects and Outcomes of COVID-19 on the Quality of Education in Elementary Schools(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Purpose: The COVID-19 pandemic has had significant effects and outcomes on primary education. Therefore, the aim of this study was to understand teachers' experiences of the effects and outcomes of COVID-19 on the quality of education in elementary schools. Methodology: This qualitative study was phenomenological in nature. The research population consisted of elementary school teachers in Zanjan County, from which 24 were selected as samples through purposive sampling based on the principle of theoretical saturation. The samples were subjected to semi-structured interviews, the validity of which was confirmed through triangulation and the reliability was calculated as 0.88 using the intercoder agreement coefficient. Data analysis of the present study was conducted using thematic analysis in MAXQDA software. Findings: The results of this study indicated that understanding teachers' experiences of the effects and outcomes of COVID-19 on the quality of education in elementary schools consisted of 14 sub-themes under 2 main themes. The main theme of the virtualization of education included 9 sub-themes: deficiencies in facilities and infrastructure, lack of information and experience among teachers, decreased quality of learning, increased stress among families, behavioral and psychological problems of students, health and physical problems of students, economic problems, educational gaps, and the organization of psychological strengthening courses. The main theme of developing new policies and strategies in education and teaching included 5 sub-themes: a new approach to modern education, new policies in school development, new strategies in teacher training, new work procedures and goals, and the integration of technology in the workplace and life. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it was determined that COVID-19 opened a new window for the education system to adjust and change educational policies and develop the necessary infrastructure to improve the quality of education.
