The "logical problem of evil" is one kind of the "problem of evil." It is claimed that there is a logical inconsistency between belief in the existence of an omniscient, omnipotent, and wholly good God and belief in the existence of evil. Alvin Plantinga argued by his "free will defense" that they are consistent. In this paper I present his argument. Then three objections against his argument are mentioned. They are based on compatibilism, God's omnipotence, and God's knowledge of counterfactuals of freedom. Plantinga's responses to these come next. They are based on a counterexample, Leibniz's lapse, and transworld depravity. It is nearly accepted by all parties that Plantinga's defense is successful. Now the problem is the evidential one. For this problem to be solved, there must be a theodicy. And Plantinga gives one. But this is not successful at all. Muslims have to pay attention to this neglected area.
Effectiveness of Flourishing Education on Consistency and Academic Engagement in Students (Case Study: Second-Grade Students of High School in Chalus City)(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
Purpose: based on the role of consistency and academic engagement in academic performance, this research aims to determine the effectiveness of flourishing education on the consistency and academic engagement of students. Methodology: This research was semi-experimental with a pre-test, post-test design, and a control group. The statistical population of this research was the second-grade high school students of Chalus city in the academic year of 2019-2020. The sample size was 30 people who were selected by convenience sampling method and replaced by the simple random method in two equal groups including experimental and control groups. The experimental group had flourishing education for two months at 8 sessions (one session a week), and the control group did not receive any education. The research tools were Duckworth, Peterson, Matthews & Kelly's (2007) consistency questionnaire and Reeve & Tseng's (2011) academic engagement questionnaire. The data were analyzed by multivariate covariance analysis methods in SPSS software at a sig. level of 0.05. Findings: the results showed that flourishing education increased students' consistency (and both of its dimensions include stability in interest and persistence in effort) and academic engagement (and all four of its dimensions include cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and agency) (P<0.05) after controlling for the effect of the pre-test. Conclusion: it is essential to use the mentioned method to improve academic characteristics by considering the effectiveness of flourishing education in increasing consistency and academic engagement in students.
The Impact of Personalization on Customers’ Loyalty and the Intention to Use E-banking Services(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
The present study aimed to answer the question of how personalization affects customer loyalty with the moderating role of technology experience consistency in the field of the e-banking industry in Iran. To achieve this goal, the statistical population of active users of e-banking of Refah Kargaran Bank including physicians, social security retirees, and employees working in Tabriz branches were determined and 502 customers were selected by the random sampling method. Content, convergent, and divergent validity, as well as the reliability of the questionnaire, have been confirmed by methods such as Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability. Furthermore, structural equation modeling techniques with AMOS software have been used to test the research hypotheses. Based on research findings, personalization has a positive effect on performance expectancy, effort expectancy, relationship quality, and intention to use e-banking services. The present study indicates that personalization is the main intention for using e-banking services that should be given special attention because it can be considered a link between customers’ attitudes and behavior in e-banking services. This model helps electronic banking managers to identify essential points of attitude that lead to the emergence of using electronic banking services behavior and outlines better guidance for the electronic banking industry. A Comparative Analysis of the Techniques and Consistency of Translators in Rendering Qur’ānic Specific Cultural Items into English

حوزههای تخصصی:
The translation of cultural items from the Qur’ān and Islam can be challenging. This study investigated the strategies used by male and female translators to translate Qur’ānic cultural items, as well as the consistency of these strategies. The researchers first identified Qur’ānic cultural items from the preface to Ali Quli Qara'i's English translation of the Qur’ān. They then searched the Qur’ān for these items and extracted the verses that contained them. The researchers found that the most common strategy used to translate Qur’ānic cultural items was to replace them with a more general word. The second most common strategy was to paraphrase the item using a related word. None of the translators used the strategies of cultural substitution or illustration. The researchers also found that the three translators used similar strategies that were similar to other. Ali Quli Qara'i was the most consistent translator, using a single strategy in 82% of the cases. Tahereh Saffarzadeh was the second most consistent translator, using a single strategy in 80% of the cases. Muhammad Ahmed and Samira Ahmed were the least consistent translators, using a single strategy in 62% of the cases. The findings of this study suggest that there are a limited number of effective strategies for translating Qur’ānic cultural items. Translators are advised to be aware of these strategies and could use them consistently in order to produce accurate and faithful translations.
Paraconsistency and its Possibilities: a personalised and partial perspective of the past(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

I take paraconsistent logic to be one of the most important and significant developments in logic and metaphysics in the last 100 years, challenging, as it does, one of the deepest dogmas entrenched in Western philosophy: that consistency is a sine qua non of rational thought. This paper looks back at the modern development of the subject. It is partial, in that it concerns only what one might call the formative years of the subject. It is personal, in that I describe my own involvement in some areas. The first part of the paper concerns paraconsistency as such. It starts with the name itself, its origin and its meaning. After a brief look at the history before the 20th century, it notes the work of the early pioneers: Orlov, Jaśkowski, Halldén, Smiley, Val and Richard Routley, and da Costa. For each of these, it describes both what motivated them, and the techniques they used in their constructions. It then describes the early reception of paraconsistency, and the way that it became a global movement. Next, the paper turns to dialetheism, again starting with the name itself and its meaning. After a brief look at the history of the notion before the 20th century, it describes the origin of the modern subject in the work of Richard Routley/Sylvan and myself. Finally, it turns to one of the major applications of paraconsistency: inconsistent mathematics—and specifically set-theory, arithmetic, and geometry. It notes the work of da Costa, Routley/Sylvan, Meyer, Mortensen, and others, describing some of the results concerning the mathematical theories they investigated.
