Designing an Ethical Targeted Marketing Model by Identifying Factors Affecting Customer Clustering(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Background: The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of customer clustering in the design of an ethical and targeted marketing model in Internet of Things (IOT) Technology Services Companies. Method : The research method is applied, exploratory and mixed (qualitative-quantitative). Qualitative section: 15 people of sales and marketing managers of IOT companies, were selected for in-depth interviews by targeted and snowballs methods. In this phase used entropy and VIKOR decision-making techniques. The software used in this phase was Max QDE. Quantitative section : In this phase, all the customers of the studied companies were included, and due to the unlimited nature of the society with Morgan's table, 384 people were selected as the sample size by non-random and available methods. The data collection tool in this section was questionnaire, which used Cronbach's alpha to examine the validity of the questionnaire. In order to analyze the data, the exploratory factor analysis method and Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with Smart-PLS2 and Liserl software were used. Results : Qualitative section: In this phase, four clusters were identified: communication factors, ethical and behavioral factors, individual factors and economic factors Quantitative section : In this phase, the model obtained in the first phase was quantitatively examined and validated and approved . Conclusion : The results showed that four main clusters: communication factors, ethical and behavioral factors, individual factors and economic factors are dimensions of targeted marketing and customers are classified according to their characteristics. So, these companies should pay attention to these items as methods for sales promotion.

Discovering important nodes in graph data attracted a lot of attention. Social networks are good examples of graph data in which each node represents a person and each edge represents a relationship between two people. There are several methods for the task of discovering important nodes in graph data. In this paper, important people are defined with their roles in society or organization. We propose an efficient method to discover leaders in graph network. For this purpose, both structural feature like entropy and inherent features including from, to, subject and message's time of social networks are used to propose a novel method for discovering important nodes in social networks. The proposed method was applied to Enron dataset and compared with previous methods. The proposed method succeeded to first, discover more important roles in Enron dataset, second, determine CEO as leader of Enron Corporation and third, discover two out of four CEOs among top VIPs.

Thermodynamics: Entropy and Violation in George Martin’s A Game of Thrones(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

This research applies an interdisciplinary method of discussion to read George Martin’s A Game of Thrones, an epic fantasy, under the light of Nancy Katherine Hayles’ theories concerning modern laws of physics and literature. The plot of the novel has prominent intricacy with vulnerability and flightiness of its storyline and characters which remains open to abundant literary interpretations. This article uses thermodynamics to refer to a type of physics concerned with temperature and heat, and their link to energy, entropy and the physical qualities of radiation and matter. The conduct of these quantities is ruled by thermodynamic laws that transfer a perceptible description utilizing quantifiable macroscopic physical features. This research traces them within the system of Westeros, a fictitious continent enduring countless tensions and wars, in which entropy is manifested metaphorically. Martin shows how thermodynamics and entropy function and bring chaos, and bases his fantasy on the violation of scientific laws to epitomize the ontology of physics and give meaning to his imaginary world. Regarding this, the researchers show and conclude how Martin interplays physics and literature to decipher the reality of this chaotic world and propose a realistic framework to see the mechanism of universe in fantasy and reality.

Auditors' personality traits have a significant effect on the motivation of their financial behavior. In fact, the personal and personality traits of auditors that can be influenced by the environment play an important role in motivating individuals to engage in financially professional behaviors. Audit team norms are one of the factors in the audit firm environment that affect the auditor's behavior. In this study, the effect of auditing team norms and auditors' personality types on auditor objectivity was investigated. The Entropy technique is used to examine the importance of the norms of the audit team and the personality components of the peers, and based on the results and using the TOPSIS method, these factors affecting the objectivity of financial auditors are ranked. The statistical population of this study includes all professional auditors working in the auditing organization and private auditing institutions, members of the Iranian Society of Certified Public Accountants in 2020, including 242 members. The results showed that extroverted and responsible personality types have a positive and significant effect on auditors' objectivity. The results also showed that the norms of the audit team have a positive and significant effect on the objectivity of auditors.

The optimal portfolio selection is vital for investment. The risk of portfolio Selection and return is the most critical concern of investment companies and private investors. According to modern portfolio theory, diversification should cover the risk. This theory is based on the normality of assets return. Experimental findings indicate that the assets return non-normality. Higher moments are sed to upgrade traditional models with the primary presumption of a normal distribution in recent years. This study uses a higher moment and the entropy for diversification and selects a portfolio given a non-normality assumption. It is essential to use up-to-date information to increase the model's efficiency, and accordingly, we used the rolling window for new price information. For the financial information method, we use the total index return in the last five working days and weigh the shares of the banking, insurance, and leasing industries on the next working day and evaluate this for three years. Python, math, and NumPy libraries were used to analyze the data. The results show that a much higher moment model can provide better portfolio selection results in most cases.
