Determining the Competitiveness in Iran Banking Industry: Case study of private banks(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Iran's banking industry has faced a wide range of changes during recent years and its banks' performance has been affected by these changes. On the one hand, the entry of private banks to the industry has made various changes in the industry's concentration and the market share of banks, on the other hand, banking technologies and strengthened competitive environment have led banks to increase efficiency and improve their performance. Given the importance of competition and efficiency in different components of the economy, the present study aims to investigate the competitiveness of private banks over the period 2005 to 2017. For this purpose, according to Panzar-Rosse model in the framework of panel data models, required data are collected from all private banks, then the competitiveness of private banks is calculated using the Panzar-Rosse model. According to the results, markets of Iran’s private banks are involved in monopolistic competition during the underlying time period.

Designing and Validating an Electronic Customer Relationship Management Model in Private Banks(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Purpose: The purpose of this research was primarily to design the electronic customer relationship management model and explain its consequences.Method: Validation of electronic customer relationship in private banks based on mixed research and descriptive-exploratory method were used. On this basis, with the help of data-based theorizing method, the categories forming the model were identified by open coding, and then with the benefit of central and selective coding, the desired model was presented. Also, in the following, the validation of the model among the studied population was discussed using the method of structural equation modeling. The statistical population for presenting the model includes banking industry experts (consisting of senior bank managers with at least 10 years of work experience and academic experts in the field of digital marketing with at least 5 years of experience working in the banking system) and for validating the model two categories of managers and employees of private banks. The research is limited to the city of Tehran and the local customers . The statistical sample of experts up to the stage of theoretical saturation is 16 people using a purposeful judgemental method, and for the model validation stage, 230 people were selected based on the rules of sample size in the structural equation method. The data collection tool included a semi-structured interview for the modeling stage and a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale for the validation stage.Findings: The findings showed that 67 basic themes (selective concepts) were categorized and after reviewing, 20 organizing themes (dimensions) were obtained and finally these dimensions were divided into 7 general categories: organizational factors, individual factors, contextual factors, environmental factors, frameworks, strategies, consequences were categorized. The main category identified in this research is "Implementation of E-CRM" and other categories are presented under the headings of causal conditions, background factors, strategies, and consequences.Conclusion: The results of the calculated value (GOF) for the structural model of the research was calculated as 0.387, which indicates the overall strong performance of the structural equation model of the research. Also, the findings of the quantitative part have confirmed the validity of the structural model of the research and demonstrated the truth of hypotheses of the research (except for hypotheses No. 9, 11, 15, 16, and 17)

In addition to its functional aspects, architecture holds a deeper significance that communicates with the observer or user of the architectural work. Perception plays a crucial role in various fields, as an individual's perceptions, emotions, and mental states, alongside visual characteristics, can lead to diverse or multiple interpretations, allowing the landscape to be understood in myriad ways. Every architectural design maintains a connection with its surroundings through its distinct visual attributes. Aligning with this notion, the present study aims to elucidate the visual aspects of workplace architecture and its impact on the performance of private bank employees in Rafsanjan city. This research adopts an applied developmental goal and employs a descriptive-analytical methodology. Data collection utilized both field methods (public questionnaires) and a combined approach (quantitative-qualitative) for data analysis. Descriptive and inferential statistical techniques were applied using SPSS software. The findings revealed a direct correlation between the visual characteristics of workplace architecture and job performance in private bank branches in Rafsanjan. Thus, emphasizing visual elements in bank architecture holds significant importance, as these factors can influence employee performance, alertness levels, and concentration at work. The visual features of workplace architecture directly impact visual and psychological needs. Therefore, to enhance the performance quality of banks, these characteristics must be regarded as pivotal factors in workplace environments.
