Business Intelligence (BI) covers the tasks of collecting, processing, and analyzing large volumes of data. This includes internal systems and external resources, utilizing advanced high-speed analytics and forecasting tools enabling organizations to achieve organizational goals in a timely manner affording immediate decision-making. The main purpose of BI is to help companies improve their performance in the turbulent environment of business and enhance their competitive advantage in this immense data age. Research organizations need integrated information technologies such as business intelligence, perhaps more so than commercial companies need, given the highly competitive environment and increasing progress of various disciplines. The development of such a system, like other organizational information systems, requires the adoption of technology by its users. Various models, including behavioral models, have identified the acceptance factors of information technologies. The purpose of this study is the Interpretive Structural Modeling of factors affecting the adoption of business intelligence technology in research organizations. ISM is a systematic and interpretive process as it is formed based on group judgment and is structured and complemented by common relationships, and finally, depicts the overall structure of several complex elements in a graph model. The sample used in this study was experts of academic research institutes in Tehran. According to the findings, 20 main acceptance factors were modeled in four levels based on interactions between the categories of individual, organizational, and technological criteria.

The use of mobile medical apps in clinical settings has recently received considerable attention. While some practitioners are using this technology to optimize decision making, others, on the other hand, are indifferent about its usage. Therefore, this study has utilized a modified UTAUT2 model to determine factors that influence the acceptance and use of mobile medical apps among professional nurses in the Ghanaian setting. A web-based data collection tool (Google Forms) was used to solicit data from 216 health professionals. Of the 216 respondents, 126 (58.33%) of them were Public Health Nurses, with 85 (39.35%) being General Nurses, and the remaining 5 (2.32%) were midwives, resulting in an average age of 31.57±4.14 years. The study used a previously validated self-administered questionnaire (UTAUT 2) to find out factors that informed respondents to adopt and use mobile medical apps. The findings established that professional qualification, gender, and the number of years that the individual had used smartphones were key determinants in accepting and using mobile medical apps. That is why this study makes the case that using technology in clinical practice has enormous advantages. It is, however, important to understand the factors that will influence the intention to adopt such technologies and their possible use.

The focus of this study is on lecturer’s use of online technology in the higher education context. Precisely, this study aims to understand the effect of personal innovativeness in IT (PI) in determining technology adoption behavior of lecturers in the higher education institutes in Sri Lanka. In this study, the variable of personal innovativeness in IT is integrated with the UTAUT framework and thereby the causal paths which effects VLE adoption intention of individuals is examined. Literature suggests that domain-specific innovativeness is a crucial factor in determining an individual’s adoption of technological innovations. Therefore, understanding the multifaceted effects of this factor along with other significant factors can help higher education institutes to effectively endorse online technology among lectures, generating productive payoffs in the long run. The quantitative method was used for data collection, which yielded # 1253 responses through the Question Pro online survey tool. The targeted respondents were the registered lecturers in higher education institutes of Sri Lanka, selected based on simple random sampling method. Structural equation modelling (SEM) procedure was employed for data analysis using IBM SPSS (ver.21) and AMOS (Ver.26). The structural path analysis resulted in partial mediation, confirming that “lecturer’s innovativeness in IT” exerts its influence on VLE adoption intention by altering the mediators set in the study. Further, the study validated a unique set of factors that determine lecturer’s acceptance of VLE in a higher education setting.

The Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry rely heavily on Building Information Modeling (BIM). BIM is the collection of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), interacting policies, and procedures. BIM is a tool for managing digital project data during the life cycle of a building. Despite the many benefits and features of BIM, the Malaysian construction industry's proliferation is confronted with adoption issues. Therefore, this research study intends to find the effect of BIM adoption factors in Malaysian AEC. Quantitative data collection from construction firms is gathered. The proposed model's theoretical foundations are based on Technology, Organization Environment framework. The model is tested and validated with the Smart PLS tool. The study's findings indicate that Perceived benefits, Organizational Capabilities, and Trialability are drivers of BIM adoption. Perceived cost and Insecurity are the barriers to BIM adoption. Perceived ease of use and compatibility does not affect BIM adoption. Finally, this study performs Importance Performance Map Analysis to provide recommendations to AEC stakeholders to address the BIM adoption issues for enhancing its diffusion in Malaysia.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the backbone of the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. BIM is the collection of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), interacting policies, and procedures. BIM generates a methodology to manage the project data in digital format throughout the building's life-cycle. Despite the numerous benefits and features of BIM, its proliferation remains limited and facing adoption issues. Although many existing studies discussed BIM adoption from contextual lenses, discipline-focused, there is still a scarcity of a comprehensive overview of technology adoption models and frameworks in BIM research. The purpose of this Systemic Literature Review (SLR) is to evaluate the current status of BIM adoption, technology acceptance theories, models used and find the research challenges. Furthermore, to identify the roles of independent constructs, dependent construct, moderators, and mediators in BIM adoption research. Also, the findings provide an in-depth description of the different stages of BIM adoption. Finally, this SLR will help the researchers for further research in the field of BIM adoption.
