Investigation of spatial distribution and optimal site selection of fire station in Iran- A case study of Tehran Township using GIS (AHP model)

Firefighting station are one of the elements of public security in the city.to make them have the supposed role in public security; we should look at different urban facilities in detail and lend the city structure as a whole. Appropriate site selection of firefighting stations is one of the most important obligations of the city planners, which should be carefully planned and implemented. Better site selection is meant to avoid waste of resources in one hand and better capability of the stations on the other hand. In this research, best sites for the construction of new stations and moving of those stations with improper location in Tehran city has been studied. First, conceptual model of the study was defined, then, spatial layers and other information about site selection of the stations collected.in the next session Analytical Hierarchy process used to assign weights to spatial layers. This process was done based on the expert’s views and pair wise compactionmethod. After collection of expert views and in order to avoid wrong views, judgment compatibility amounts were calculated. After accepting of CR values, these weights used in future analyses. Network analysis, one of GIS spatial functions, used to find best routes from fire stations to affected area and service area of each station. Based on the analyses of this section and field checks, gave good attitude in terms of stations functionality. Regarding to the locations of existing stations, new stations proposed using a moving widow on the potential sites map.

ارزیابی نقش توسعه اجتماعی در تحکیم حس مکانی. مطالعه موردی: محلات ناحیه 10 شهر سنندج(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

حس مکانی ناشی از سکونت در محله های مختلف یک شهر متفاوت است. بالا بودن حس مکان در یک شهر بیانگر مهم بودن شهر برای ساکنان آن است که این می تواند برای شهر نتایج مثبتی را به همراه داشته باشد. برنامه ریزان شهری باید به مفهوم حس مکان به عنوان یکی از مولفه های شهر مطلوب بنگرند و برای نیل به آن اقدام به برنامه ریزی کنند. یکی از استراتژی های تحکیم حس مکان ارتقای سطح توسعه اجتماعی است. هدف از این تحقیق سنجش سطح توسعه اجتماعی در 4 محله ناحیه 10 شهر سنندج و ارزیابی نقش آن در تحکیم حس مکانی است. روش تحقیق از نوع توصیفی- تحلیلی و مبتنی بر مطالعه کتابخانه ای و مطالعه پیمایشی است. در فرایند این پژوهش ابتدا با استفاده از نظرات 12 نفر از کارشناسان شهرداری و شورای شهر سنندج و 28 نفر از افراد دارای تحصیلات دانشگاهی ساکن در ناحیه محلات ناحیه 10 شهر سنندج وضعیت توسعه یافتگی اجتماعی محلات از نظرمعیارهایی همچون سطوح امنیت اجتماعی، انسجام اجتماعی، سطح اعتماد، دامنه تعامل، گرایش به ارزش ها و گرایش به هنجارهادر قالب مدل AHP مورد سنجش قرار گرفته شدند. در مرحله بعد با توزیع پرسشنامه سنجش حس مکانی در بین 377 نفر از ساکنان ناحیه مرحله دوم تحقیق نیز به پایان رسید. در مرحله سوم با استفاده از آزمون آماری پیرسون رابطه بین سطح توسعه یافتگی اجتماعی محلات و حس مکانی ساکنان محلات چهارگانه مورد سنجش و تحلیل قرار گرفت. نتایج این آزمون نشان از وجود رابطه مثبت و مستقیم بین توسعه اجتماعی و حس مکانی را دارد. بر این اساس محله 1 که دارای بالاترین میزان سطح توسعه یافتگی اجتماعی بوده؛ دارای بیشترین میزان حس مکانی نیز بوده است.

Spatial Organizing and Distribution of Gas Stations Following Urban Passive Defense Approach (Case Study: Gas Stations of Mashhad Metropolis)(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Passive Defense is a set of civilian efforts performed to enhance deterrence, reduce vulnerability, sustain essential activities, promote national stability, and facilitate crisis management against military threats of an enemy. Since in battles, sensitive and critical areas of cities are of paramount importance,it is clear that in military agressions, a large part of threats are focused on cities and their urban facilities and equipment, especially fuel centers. As a result, consideration of passive defense while planning cities has a significant role in reducing the vulnerability of cities and their urban elements as well as facilitating the urban crisis management. It also provides the citizens resistance threshold under possible enemy invasion and natural malicious agents. Hence, this article reviews and analyzes the current situation of gas distribution centers and evaluates their positioning across the city of Mashhad with regard to passive defense approach. However, as far as there is no clear- cut criteria for organizing fuel centers with passive defense approach, the Delphi method is used to select the desired criteria in which on the basis of the final comments of the experts, four critera- performance, access, hazards and security election and spatial organization of the fuel tanks and petrol stations- are analyzed using AHP model and GIS spatial analyzes. Accordingly, it can be said that the assessment of the current status of the urban fuel stations in Mashhad indicates that no area of the city enjoys all measures of passive defense (performance, availability, security, and risks). Likewise, the results indicate that the distribution of these centers in the city are mostly consistent with the factor of access. taking into account all the criteria, it is the ​​North West of Mashhad which has the highest utility than other areas. It is followed by the east of Mashhad and ​​the Northeast and the middle east of the city, respectively. Accordingly, it could be stated that ignoring an efficient design for determining the optimum location of the site construction with a passive defense approach results in an inappropriate and naive spatial distribution of the stations leading to an increased security and environmental risks of the city.
