The method was descriptive-correlational, and the statistical population included all young students of the University of Applied Sciences and Technology of East Tehran; who were studying in one of the faculties of this university in the academic year of 2017-2018. The Cochran's sample size estimation formula was used to determine the sample size, which were 340 people. The sampling was done on a basis of a random multi-step way. Edward E. Jon's self-efficacy scale, Herman's motivated progress, Solomon's and Rathblum's procrastination, and Sarason's test anxiety were used in the study in order to collect the data. The SPSS 24 and Pearson correlation and canonical correlation methods were used to analyze the data. Purpose: in the present study, the relationship between cognitive emotion regulation and academic buoyancy with the role of mediating self-disability in students has been studied. Methodology: The present study was descriptive-correlational. The research population included all female secondary school students in Sabzevar City. 323 students were randomly selected as the sample in a multistage cluster sampling method. They completed Jones and Rodwellt Self-Handicapping Scale (1982), Garnfesky, Kareev and Spinhaun (2001) Emotional Cognitive Regulation Questionnaire and Dehghanizadeh and حسینchary (2012) Academic Buoyancy Questionnaire. Findings: The results of the research indicated that the model of the research had excellent fitting and self-handicapping has a mediating role in the relationship between emotional cognitive regulation and students’ academic buoyancy. Also, 79% of the variations in academic buoyancy are explained through the strategies of positive and negative cognitive emotion regulation and academic self-handicapping and 74% of the variations in academic self-handicapping are explained through the strategies of positive and negative emotion cognitive regulation. Discussion: As a result, it should be acknowledged that students who grow up to develop strong emotions could handle social barriers and pressure well, and manage behaviors that can mitigate their academic achievement. Therefore, the emotional stress of students in dealing with stressful situations affects self-handicapping and, consequently, their academic buoyancy.

Purpose: This research was conducted with the aim of presenting a model of self-handicapping based on time perspective and intelligence beliefs mediated by academic self-efficacy in students. Methodology: Present study was cross-sectional from type of correlation. The research population was all secondary high school students of Tehran city in 2019-20 academic years. The sample size was considered 400 people who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method. The research tools were the revised self-handicapping scale (Jones & Rhodewalt, 1982), time perspective questionnaire (Zimbardo & Boyd, 1992), intelligence beliefs scale (Abd-El-Fattah & Yates, 2006) and academic self-efficacy scale (Jinks & Morgan, 1999).
