Adaptation and regeneration of vulnerable urban fabrics in Babol appear essential to prevent further damage. The aim of this study is to regenerate vulnerable urban fabrics in Babol in the face of flood crises. To achieve the research objectives, key indicators affecting the regeneration of vulnerable urban areas will be identified using a combination of library research, field surveys, and theoretical studies. In fact, these indicators, including relevant criteria and sub-indicators, will be recognized and analyzed. Subsequently, to prioritize the influential indicators for the regeneration of vulnerable urban fabrics against natural hazards—with an emphasis on floods in Babol—the Friedman test will be applied using SPSS software. The findings indicate that each component of urban regeneration contributes differently to the neighborhoods with vulnerable urban fabrics exposed to flood hazards. The results show that various factors, such as poor water resource management, deteriorating infrastructure, and neglect of crisis management planning, play a significant role in increasing the vulnerability of Babol's urban areas to floods. Furthermore, empowering the local community and establishing green infrastructure have been identified as effective strategies in mitigating damages. The study highlights that the regeneration of vulnerable urban fabrics in Babol must adopt a comprehensive and multidimensional approach. The use of modern technologies, community participation, and enhancement of the resilience of natural resources are among the essential strategies in this regard. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of these measures can significantly improve the city’s capacity to cope with floods and other natural hazards.

Applied studies on the spatial form and the manner of physical-spatial development of the city can be useful in addressing urban issues and meeting the present and future needs of citizens. Therefore, the aim of this research is to analyze the impact of the urban built environment on the quality and health of citizens' lives (case study: District 4 of Sari City) in the year 2025. The research method is descriptive-survey, and the statistical population includes residents of District 4 of Sari City, which is considered the old texture of the city. To test the hypotheses, Pearson correlation and path analysis were used for modeling with SPSS software, version 26. The findings indicate that there is a significant and positive relationship between the components of the urban built environment and the quality and health of the lives of Sari citizens. Three components of the urban built environment—(security and comfort of the living environment, access to public spaces, and urban identity)—explain 55% of the variance in the quality and health of citizens’ lives in District 4 of Sari City. District 4 of Sari, as the old texture of the city, includes elderly residents and the city center population. The components of the urban built environment directly and indirectly showed that more than half (55%) of the quality and health of citizens’ lives can be improved through thoughtful design measures and prudent management, thereby achieving citizens’ life satisfaction.

Tehran Privacy is home to nearly 16 million people. This privacy has been local until now to attack the land grabbers and the invasion of the poor and even some official organizations in the form of cooperatives that the areas of spatial division have marked it. . Such privacy needs an efficient, comprehensive management, with appropriate consistency and efficiency, and most importantly integrated and comprehensive to prevent the loss of this amount of its remaining valuable spaces. The main goal of this research is to examine the threats and opportunities for protection and sustainable development of Tehran Privacy using the Meta-SWOT software as a strategic technique. The required data for this research was collected through studying and analyzing relevant articles, books, and theses, as well as data from related organizations (such as the General Office Tehran Privacy and the Statistical Center of Iran). This research is application-oriented in terms of objectives and descriptive-analytical in terms of methodology. Snowball sampling was used to select the expert panel (Delphi method), ultimately resulting in the selection of 12 individuals. The findings indicate that environmental degradation, unauthorized constructions, land grabbing, migration, informal settlements, and fragmented management are the main threats to the Protection and sustainable development of the Privacy. Meta-SWOT believes that there are resources and capabilities in the studied geography that serve as opportunities for Protection and sustainable development; the most important of these opportunities is "integrated privacy management," followed by "t

This research examines the effects of these changes on the spatial structure of cities and the challenges arising from them. in this regard, the current study was conducted with the aim of measuring and analyzing the role of political divisions and their effects on the spatial transformations of Tehran's Districts 18 and 19, with an emphasis on the phenomenon of sprawl and the formation of marginalized communities. based on the research objectives and the components under review, the research is of an applied type, and its method is descriptive-analytical. Theoretical data were prepared using a documentary method, and empirical data were prepared using a survey method. The statistical population consisted of 93 experts and specialists selected through judgmental or purposive sampling. To analyze the information obtained, statistical tests such as the one-sample T-test and Friedman test were used in SPSS software. The analysis of the role of political divisions in the spatial transformations of Tehran's Districts 18 and 19 showed that these divisions have been unable to manage sprawl and the formation of marginalized communities in these areas and, in some cases, have intensified spatial instabilities. In the economic dimension, an increase in land prices and a weakness in attracting investment and the equitable distribution of opportunities are evident. In the environmental dimension, the destruction of ecosystems and a reduction in biodiversity are visible. In the socio-cultural dimension, although a sense of belonging and social participation has improved, social divides and inequalities have intensified.

One of the environmental consequences and conflicts arising from land use and land cover changes is the intensification of soil erosion, which seriously threatens urban water and soil resources. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly identify the spatial dimensions of land use and land cover and their effects on cities so that policymakers and researchers can make informed decisions. Satellite data is one of the fastest and most cost-effective methods available to researchers for preparing land use maps. this study aimed to evaluate the changes in land use percentage and its impact on erosion between 1993 and 2023 in the city of Gomish Tappeh, located in Golestan province. For this purpose, a vegetation cover percentage map was first prepared using TM and OLI sensor images from the Landsat satellite. After atmospheric and radiometric correction, a land use map was created using the pixel-based method (maximum likelihood algorithm), the object-oriented method (nearest neighbor algorithm), and the ARAS method. The most important accuracy assessment methods, including overall accuracy and the classification kappa coefficient, were then extracted. An erosion zoning map was prepared using the resulting land use maps and factors including slope, lithology, distance from roads, distance from rivers, precipitation, and soil, using the Kritik weighting method and the WLC method. the results showed that in the land use maps from 1993 to 2023, the increase in rainfed lands was accompanied by a decrease in pastures, with the most significant change being a downward trend in pasture use. Additionally, according to the 1993 and 2023 erosion zoning maps, Gomish Tappeh is categorized as having both a very high risk and a high risk of erosion. The increase in the area of very high-risk and high-risk erosion classes in the studied basin can be attributed to the conversion of pasture-covered lands to rainfed agricultural lands, the plowing of pastures on steep slopes, the increase in residential areas on riverbanks, and the disregard for river boundaries, which accelerates the erosion process.

In recent years, the quality of transitional spaces in residential complexes has emerged as a crucial factor in helping residents find their way and improving their overall spatial experience. To fill a gap in existing research, this study investigated how these spaces influence wayfinding based on visual perception in District 6 of Shiraz. using a mixed-method approach, the research sought to answer two central questions: (1) Which visual perception components are key to wayfinding? and (2) How does the spatial layout of transitional areas affect wayfinding quality? In the qualitative phase, the research team identified core components through a detailed content analysis. For the quantitative phase, they surveyed 378 residents from nine selected complexes, using a questionnaire they had developed. the statistical analysis revealed that the average scores for environmental (2.65), human (2.72), and visual field (2.94) variables were all below optimal levels. The results also confirmed significant differences across various residential types, with lower scores found in complexes that had more blocks. Among the visual indicators, "environmental cues" (mean rank 3.76) and "spatial extent" (3.37) were the most influential, while factors like "enclosure" and "curvilinearity" had minimal impact. ultimately, a balanced combination of environmental factors (form, light, color, signage), human factors (accessibility, safety, social vitality), and visual factors (openness, field of view) is essential for improving legibility, safety, and ease of navigation. These findings offer practical guidance for designers to create residential interface zones that are more legible and easier to navigate.
