چکیده
ادبیات تطبیقی، به بررسی روابط، شباهت ها و تفاوت های ادبی کشورهای گوناگون با یکدیگر می پردازد. این امر، موجبات آشنایی و تبادل فرهنگی و ادبی کشورها با یکدیگر را فراهم می سازد؛ البته امروزه نحله های جدید ادبیات تطبیقی مانند مطالعات فرهنگی ایجاد شده که این امکان را میسر ساخته تا در متن و بطن ادبیات یک ملّت نیز مطالعات تطبیقی گوناگونی انجام گیرد. امروزه خوانش رمان در جوامع گوناگون تنها جنبه سرگرمی ندارد؛ بلکه ابزار ارزشمندی است که نویسنده از آن در نشر مسائل، افکار و انتقادات اجتماعی و سیاسی بهره می گیرد. در پژوهش پیش رو، به شیوه توصیفی-تحلیلی به بررسی تطبیقی مضامین اجتماعی مشترک در دو اثر «شریک جرم» از جعفر مدرس صادقی و «در نبردی مشکوک» از جان اشتاین بک پرداخته شده است. بررسی تطبیقی این دو اثر نشان می دهد، هر دو نویسنده دارای اهداف و آمالی هستند که ریشه اجتماعی و سیاسی دارند و همین اهداف اجتماعی، بن مایه اصلی دو اثر را تشکیل می دهد. اگرچه این دو رمان در مضامین اجتماعی مانند جنبش های اجتماعی، اعتصاب، سرکوب، تبعیض و مسائل سیاسی با یکدیگر شباهت دارند، امّا شیوه پرداخت آن ها در این موضوعات در برخی موارد تفاوت هایی دارد برای مثال جان اشتاین بک به شکل صریح تری مسائل را بیان می کند، اما مدرس صادقی مسائل را در لفافه منعکس می کند. قریب به انفاق شخصیت های هر دو رمان را افرادی تشکیل می دهد که در زندگی خود کنشگران جدی سیاسی و اجتماعی به شمار می آیند؛ به همین دلیل، تمام حوادث دو رمان در پیوند با یک چالش اجتماعی شکل می گیرد و قصه حول محور آن ماجرا پیش می رود.Comparative analysis of social themes in the novels "The Accomplice" by Jafar Modares-Sadeghi and " In Doubious Battle" by John Stainbeck

Nowadays reading novels in various societies is not only an entertainment aspect; Rather, it is a valuable tool that the writer uses in publishing social and political issues, thoughts and criticisms. In the upcoming research, a comparative study of common social themes in two works " The Accomplice" by Jafar Modares-Sadeghi and "In Doubious Battle" by John Stainbeck has been done in a descriptive-analytical manner. The comparative analysis of these two works shows that both authors have goals and hopes that have social and political roots, and these social goals form the main basis of the two works. Although these two novels are similar in social themes such as social movements, strikes, repression, discrimination and political issues, but the way they deal with these issues has differences in some cases, for example John Stainbeck explicitly Terry expresses the issues but Modares Sadeghi reflects the issues in the envelope. Most of the characters in both novels are people who are serious political and social activists in their lives; For this reason all the events of the two novels are formed in connection with a social challenge and the story moves around the axis of that event.
