Added over the period 2006-2018. We focused on different proxies of corporate governance indicators, such as the Directors' Effectiveness, the Transparency and the Disclosure, Responsibility. Basel Principles have been used to make corporate governance indicators and Stern & Stewart and Chew (1995) method have been used to make banking economic value added. We used the PCA method to choose important indicators. The results of PCA estimation identified ten important variables affecting banks' economic value added. Due to the importance of banks' age in creating economic value-added, banks are divided into two classes according to age. The GMM method is used to estimate the models. Eight models were designed to examine the impact of different corporate governance measures on the banking economic value added. The results indicated that corporate governance indicators were significant in explaining changes in the Iranian banking economic value added. The result also shows that according to the banks' age, the effectiveness of the board structure is greater than others. This illustrates the importance of board structure more than other criteria.

With increasing trade among different countries The exchange rate fluctuations, consumption, inflation, and market portfolios are considered as major risk factors in financial markets. Hence this study aimed to examine the relationship between the exchange rate fluctuations and asset returns within a theoretical and empirical model, i.e. Consumption-based Capital Asset Pricing Model (CCAPM). To this end, a basic CCAPM was extended and imported consumables were included in Epstein and Zin’s recursive utility function. The research sample encompassed eight portfolios and monthly data from 2003 to 2014. The pricing model parameters were estimated using Euler's equations and Hansen and Singleton’s generalized method of moments (GMM). An estimation of the parameters of Euler's equations indicates the risk aversion and tolerance of economic factors, low elasticity of substitution for domestic consumables and imported consumables, and high elasticity of intertemporal substitution. In the next step, using Euler’s linearized equations as asset pricing model and Fama and Macbeth's two-step regression method, the effects of exchange rate risk premium, inflation, market efficiency, and consumption growth on return premium on assets were investigated. The results indicated the positive impact of the exchange rate risk premium, inflation, and market returns on the return premium on assets.

This paper examines the impact of internal bank governance on bank liquidity creation in Iran during 2010-2017. We analyze whether banks with larger size and liquidity levels creates higher levels of liquidity. The results using panel GMM method show that corporate governance has a positive effect on liquidity creation; of course, it is not significant. Also, this effect is not affecting by bank size level, but a bank with higher liquidity levels have a higher elasticity to the governance change. Moreover, banks with higher financial stability have higher liquidity creation. Furthermore, the equity ratio index harms liquidity creation, which means “the fragility hypothesis” is confirmed within Iranian banks.

One of the variables affecting the behavior of enterprises is the exchange rate. Uncertainty about the amount of exchange rate volatillity for each firm is considered as a risk. The aim of this study is to explain a model to investigate the effect of exchange rate shocks on the financial sustainability of export-oriented companies. In this regard, the data on exchange rate, tax, oil revenue and export variables on financial sustainability was collected for 19 groups of companies from 2008 to 2019. To achieve the research goal, the Panel Vector Autoregressive Model (PANEL VAR) using the generalized method of moments (GMM) was used to analyzed the data. Then the results were interpreted using the Impulse Response Function and variance decomposition. The results of the IRF show that the effect of exchange rate volatility on the financial sustainability variable is initially negative, but has a positive effect over time and is neutralized after several periods. The same goes for an impulse equal to a standard deviation in tax. Also, the oil revenues and exports impulse have negative and positive effects on financial sustainability, respectively. According to the results of variance decomposition, it can be said that the effect of exchange rate on financial sustainability is greater than the effect of sustainability on exchange rate, because the exchange rate shocks have more explanatory power for sustainability fluctuations.

Aging and its consequences have made population aging a major social issue. Aging populations are likely to exacerbate inequality by increasing the public and private financial burdens of social welfare costs. The goal of this study was to estimate the effects of aging on income inequality for 81 countries (37 developing and 44 developed) from 2000 to 2020. The study used a dynamic panel approach in a generalized method of moments (GMM) framework. This study's findings confirm a positive relationship between aging and income inequality in both developing and developed countries, and it demonstrates that the aging effect on income inequality is greater in developing countries than in developed countries. Furthermore, improving human capital, increasing per capita income, proper management, and use of total natural resource rents (% of GDP) in countries, and increasing trade between countries reduce income inequality, according to the findings of this study. Policymakers should reduce income inequality by investing in education, increasing per capita income, managing, and utilizing total natural resource rents (as a percentage of GDP), expanding trade with other countries, and planning for the effects of aging.
