xamining the linguistic style of the poem "Drunk and sober" by Parveen Etesami and "Reading the ruined drunk to prison" by Molavi with a comparative approach

xamining the linguistic style of the poem "Drunk and sober" by Parveen Etesami and "Reading the ruined drunk to prison" by Molavi with a comparative approach   Fada Mohammad Radpour [1]   Introduction Jalaladdin Mohammad Balkhi is a mystic of the 7th century, a representative of mystical classical poetry, and Parvin Etesami is one of the pioneers of modern poetry in Iran. These two are different both in terms of gender and time; But what made these two believe the same is human vision. In this article, two poem titles named "Drunk and Sober" by Parvin Etesami and another one "Reading a ruined drunk to prison" by Molavi have been selected. There is a common feature between both poems in terms of the subject, both in terms of language and thought. Parvins political thought with a critical approach is dominant in her poems; But her mystical thought and ethics cannot be ignored. The question that arises is whether it is possible to analyze these two pieces of poetry with such an approach? And secondly, how is the mystical language of both poems? The purpose of the research in this article is to show that Parvin Etesami, in a[2]ddition to being influenced by the subject of Molavis story, is also influenced by the language of the story and to what extent her language style in this story is similar to Molavi's style; And still, to what extent Parvin Etesami tells the story mystically like Molavi.   Research Methodology The research method in this article is qualitative and quantitative based on analytical-descriptive, with a comparative approach. Discuss Parvin Etesamis poem, which is called "Drunk and Sober", is a simple poem free of verbal and spiritual beliefs, and at the same time, it is a critical poem in every sense. The poet mentions five people: cop, drunk, arbiter, sheriffe and warden. From the appearance of the word, it is clear that the poem refers to several things. In this poem, Parvin reveals the face of cop. It starts from the second stanza with a mystical look and ends with a trick in the final stanza. In short, it can be said that poetry is conceptually of the type of mystical mysticism, which in the opinion of poets, judges, sheikhs and ascetics, some (not all) of their work is nothing more than hypocrisy. Molavi has narrated the story of two seemingly opposite people, both from the personality and moral aspects. In the first step, he has dealt with the loss of what is fixed in the Islamic religion. He has an inside look at the drunkard and conveys this message to the audience: those you have suspicions about are not like that; Rather, they are purer, or those who are apparently called insane, are wiser and more alert. It can be concluded that this person is not drunk on grape juice as thought by the cop.   Conclusion The external music of both texts is the same with a slight difference. In terms of internal music, the repetition of words that creates the musicality of the poem in both poems is more noticeable in Molavis masnavi than in Parvin EItesamis piece. If the inner music in Masnavi is based on repetition of words and in Parvins poem based on phonology, the music of the poem has become more noticeable. But the role of phonology in the analysis of both poems is the same. At the lexical level, the distinction between the fragment and the masnawi is some verbs that are past continuous, which is used in the same old style in the Molavis masnawi. In terms of syntax, the structure of the sentences in both poems is almost the same. According to the questions raised in the statement of the problem, it can be concluded that the expression of both poems was in a mystical language, and that is of the type of mysticism. Parvin Etesami's influence on Molavi is more on the topic and language level. Although both poems have a critical-political and social aspect in terms of the subject, but in terms of the tone of the words of Masnavi Molavi, mystical elements are more dominant than Parvin Etesamis piece.                                           .[1] Associate Professor, Department of Persian Literature, Parwan University, Parwan, Afghanistan. radpoorfida@yahoo.com   Received date:05/11/1402  ((25/01/2024  -Accepted date: 25/03/1403   (14/06/2024)
