Ethical Challenges of School Principals during of COVID-19(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Background : Today, societies pay attention to ethics and moral values, emphasizing that moral values ​​should be preserved and kept alive in educational organizations. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to identify the ethical challenges of school principals in the Corona period . Methods : The present study was applied in terms of purpose and qualitative in terms of method. Its statistical population included educational management professors and school principals of West Azerbaijan Province. Sampling was done systematically through snowball technique and based on theoretical saturation criterion. Research data was collected by reviewing 21 articles related to the ethics of educational management or educational leadership in the COVID 19 period and then through semi-structured interviews (17 people) based on the model of qualitative interviews and its criteria, in an approximate time between 25 to 45 min, collected in person, electronically, and by telephone. Data were categorized using thematic analysis method in the form of basic, organized and comprehensive themes . Results : The results showed that the ethical challenges of school principals in Corona period as a comprehensive theme included 98 basic themes. According to the classification of basic themes, 7 organizing themes, including professional ethics, social-communicative ethics, individual ethics, technical-educational ethics, spiritual ethics, behavioral ethics, and decision-making ethics were obtained . Conclusion : The results showed that the closure of schools under COVID exacerbated 19 ethical problems in the education policies and practices, creating moral challenges in them. In this regard, principals are expected to use their knowledge and ethical skills to improve their scientific knowledge to address the problem of students at school during the Corona epidemic.

Testing the Pattern of Social Responsibility as a Component of Educational Ethics(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Background: The university is a thoughtful, knowledgeable and innovative institution in society and it is expected that by performing its duties and missions, it can take effective steps in achieving the goals of society and always lead the country towards progress. Therefore, it is very important to study the level of attention to the concept of social responsibility in universities. The present study examines the pattern of social responsibility as a component of educational ethics. Method: This study was applied in terms of purpose and quantitative in terms of approach. The research method was descriptive survey. The research community consisted of 180 faculty members, deputies and administrators of Islamic Azad University who were selected as a sample using Cochran's formula and stratified random sampling of 123 of them. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using descriptive indices of mean, standard deviation, bootstrapping method and t-test using PLS3 software. Results: All components of social responsibility played a significant role in explaining the model at a significance level of 5%. In addition, it can be stated that scientific, educational and public responsibility have had more effects on social responsibility than other components. Their effects are reported to be 0.24 and 0.21, respectively. Organizational responsibility and technology, on the other hand, have the least effect on social responsibility compared to other components. Their effect is 0.105 and 0.11, respectively. Conclusion: Paying attention to the components identified in this study, including moral, environmental, social, scientific, educational and economic components in the Islamic Azad University can play a key role in the social responsibility of the university, as an effective educational institution. Educational Ethics: The Role of the Democratic School in Primary Education(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Background: Considering that a large part of the individual and social development of individuals is done by the official institution of education; Educational ethics is very important. In this regard, the institution of education has a key role in educating democratic citizens and educating and developing human rights. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to present a model of a democratic school in the primary education system. Method: This research was conducted qualitatively and thematically. The statistical population included all managers and deputies working in education and teacher training centers in the provinces of Iran, and 12 managers and deputies from the provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Khuzestan and Hamedan were selected in a targeted and non-probable manner. Qualitative data were collected through interviews and finally analyzed by Corbin and Strauss qualitative analysis model in the form of triple coding with MAXQDA software. Results: The results of the study showed that the components of critical thinking, participation and cooperation, legalism, freedom, equality, mutual respect, responsibility, right to choose and decide, rationality, social ethics and culturalism as The hallmarks of democratically oriented schools have been identified. Conclusion: Schools can educate democratic citizens for tomorrow's society by emphasizing educational ethics. By emphasizing human individuality and emphasizing rationality and morality, the democratic school nurtures students who have the ability to think critically and strive for freedom and equality with a proper understanding of their rights.
