This work supports the effectiveness of the employment of communication strategies for bet-ter and more efficient communication. Communication strategies varies as a function of dif-ferent factors such as personality traits, pedagogical setting, L2 context, etc. The present re-search aimed at delving into the relationship between shyness, task nature and the frequency and type of communication strategies used by the subjects. The subjects of the study were 168 male and female students at Ilam university and Islamic Azad University of Tehran (South Branch). The subjects took a Michigan test of language proficiency. Out of 168 sub-jects taking the Michigan test, 106 were found to be homogenous and qualified to take part in three different communicative activities: Free Discussion, Translation, and Story Recon-struction. Out of the 106 subjects 102 took part in the above-mentioned activities. They were also given to fill up the Stanford Shyness questionnaire. The statistical procedure of Chi-Square was used for the purpose of the study. It was shown that shyness affects the adoption and choice of communication strategies negatively. i.e. non-shy students use more communication strategies than their shy counterparts, and also that non-shy students use more achievement strategies vis-à-vis their shy friends, while the latter group preferred to use more avoidance strategies. The study, however, couldn’t establish and confirm any relationship between the type of task and the type of communication strategies used by the subjects.

This study was designed to explore the role of gender, parental raring behavior, friendship quality and shyness in the feeling of loneliness during adolescence through the ecological model of human development and the contextual-developmental perspective. 211 adolescents’ students ( 133 females, 78 males ) from five high schools in Tehran (Iran) participated in correlational research design (a non-experimental study) and completed the self-report scales including: Loneliness Scale, Short EMBU, Revised Cheek–Buss Shyness Scale, and Friendship–Unfriendship Attachment Inventory (SACRAL) . The results showed that parenting behavior, shyness, and friendship quality were correlated with loneliness. Moreover, the findings indicated that the low level of friendship quality and high level of parenting behavior in both rejection and over-controlling had a positive correlation with the high level of loneliness in adolescents. In addition, the result showed that male adolescents feel lonelier than female adolescents. The results obtained from the current study provide a number of implications, which can be beneficial in proposing intervention efforts directed toward promoting ideal development and growth during teenage years.

This article provides a systematic review of research in the field of hijab, chastity and modesty and its impact on the family in a positive light and the effects of cultural invasion in a negative light. In fact, the innovation of this research is the study of the effect of modesty as a strengthening element of the family, which has been neglected in most studies. Methods: In a search conducted in Persian and English index index banks, seven, 650 and 47 articles were found in SID, Magiran and Noormags databases, respectively. Out of 705 studies, 605 works were not conceptually related. After deleting them, 100 articles were analyzed and after studying the abstract and text of all these articles, 38 related articles were reviewed. Conclusion: The results of this study show that it is necessary to pay attention to upbringing and strengthening modesty as one of the basic factors in strengthening the family. This topic should be included in the research priorities of family researchers.
