برنهادِ تاریخیتِ فلسفه: ایضاحِ ادعا، ارزیابیِ دلایل و بررسیِ لوازم (مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

چکیده
بعضی فیلسوفانِ معاصر درباره فلسفه و نسبت اش با تاریخِ فلسفه ادعایی را مطرح کرده اند که «برنهادِ تاریخیتِ فلسفه» نامیده شده است. در بخشِ نخستِ مقاله تقریرهای مختلف از این برنهاد را ایضاح و دسته بندی می کنم و نشان می دهم که این تقریرها را می توان در دو دسته تقریرهای فرایندمحور و تقریرهای فراورده محور قرار داد. در بخشِ دومِ مقاله دلایلی را که حامیانِ برنهادِ تاریخیتِ فلسفه در دفاع از ادعاهای خود اقامه کرده اند بررسی می کنم. نخست دلایلِ مدافعانِ تقریرِ فراورده محور را شرح می دهم و نشان می دهم که خودِ تقریرِ فراورده محور شاملِ دو ادعاست. سپس دلایلِ دلایلِ حامیانِ تقریرِ فرایندمحور را بررسی می کنم. دو روایتِ معتدل و رادیکال را معرفی می کنم و در ادامه توضیح می دهم که روایتِ معتدل جای چون و چرای چندانی ندارد، اما روایتِ رادیکال بحث برانگیز است. دو دلیل در دفاع از روایتِ رادیکالِ تقریرِ فرایندمحور اقامه می کنم و در ادامه دو استدلالِ متقابلِ احتمالیِ منتقدانِ برنهادِ تاریخیتِ فلسفه را شرح می دهم. در بخشِ سومِ مقاله درباره لوازمِ برنهادِ تاریخیتِ فلسفه بحث می کنم. پرسشِ مهمِ این بخش این است که حتی اگر روایتِ رادیکالِ تقریرِ فرایندمحور موجه باشد، از آن چه لوازمِ معرفت شناختی می توان استنتاج کرد؟ در نتیجه گیری یافته های تحقیق را خلاصه می کنم و توضیح می دهم که برای بحثی گسترده تر و نظام مندتر درباره برنهادِ تاریخیتِ فلسفه باید ایده تاریخ گرایی و منابعِ مربوط به آن را مطالعه کرد.The Historical Thesis About Philosophy: Clarifying Thesis Evaluating Reasons and Investigating Implications
Some contemporary philosophers put forth a claim which is called “Historical Thesis about the Philosophy”. In the first part of this paper, I clarify and classify the various formulations of this thesis and I show that these formulations can be divided into two classes of process-centered and product-centered formulations. In the second part of the paper, I evaluate the arguments made by the proponents of historical thesis about philosophy. Firstly, I explicate the arguments for the product-centered formulation of historical thesis and show that product-centered formulation consists of two claims. Then I evaluate the arguments for the process-centered formulation of historical thesis. I put forth two moderate and radical versions of process-centered formulation of historical thesis and I continue to argue that moderate version is uncontroversial, but radical version is provocative. I formulate two arguments for the radical version and continue to reconstruct two counterarguments by critics of historical thesis. In the third part of the paper, I discuss the implications of historical thesis. The main question is that even if radical version of process-centered formulation is justified, what epistemic implications we can derive from radical version. In the conclusion, I summarize the findings of this research and I emphasize that it is necessary to study the historicist movement in order to investigate the historical thesis in a more comprehensive and systematic way.
