چکیده
بیان مسئله: آراء و استنتاج های سنت گرایان درباره هنر و معماری اسلامی اغلب بدون توجه به نمونه ها و مستندات تاریخی، مورد استناد واقع شده است. درباره خوشنویسی نیز که از دیدگاه سنت گرایان شریف ترین و ممتازترین هنر اسلامی به شمار می آید، چنین بوده و بدون اعتبارسنجی تاریخی، آرای آنان توسط پژوهشگران به کار گرفته شده است. هدف پژوهش: این نقد به دنبال پاسخ به این پرسش است که نسبت آرای سنت گرایان در باب خوشنویسی اسلامی با سیرتاریخ تحول و تطور مکتوب و نمونه های موجود این صناعت چگونه است؟ نتیجه گیری: با تطبیق آرای سنت گرایان به ویژه سیدحسین نصر در باب خوشنویسی سنتی اسلامی و منابع مکتوب تاریخی و نمونه های موجود، آشکار شد، نظرات سنت گرایان در باب خوشنویسی و تذهیب در مواردی با آنچه در تاریخ این فن ذکر شده است، قابل تطبیق نیست. به نظر می رسد برخی از این مطالب با بیان کلی و رمزگونه (مفاهیم تجریدی)، بیشتر به منظور اعتباربخشی جایگاه و اهمیت خوشنویسی به عنوان نقطه تحول سنت گفتاری بهA Critique of Traditionalist Views on Islamic Calligraphy
Problem statement: The opinions and conclusions of traditionalists regarding Islamic art and architecture are often cited without adequate references to historical examples and documentation. Calligraphy, considered by traditionalists as the most noble and distinguished form of Islamic art, has similarly been accepted and applied by researchers without historical verification. Research objective: This critique examines how traditionalist views, especially those of Seyyed Hossein Nasr, align with the historical development and surviving examples of Islamic calligraphy and illumination (Tezhib). It argues that in many cases, these views conflict with the documented history of the art.Conclusion: It seems that some of these perspectives, conveyed in generalized and symbolic (abstract) language, aim more at legitimizing the spiritual and civilizational role of calligraphy as the turning point from oral tradition to written revolution in Islamic civilization, rather than reflecting historical accuracy.
