In the era of globalization and extensive communications, modelling different cultures and lifestyles is inevitable. However, merely imitating a particular culture, especially when it conflicts with religious and national values and beliefs, can have many negative effects. One of the most important cultural challenges in Islamic societies is modelling the West-imitating lifestyle. This phenomenon, which is often seen as a threat to Islamic identity, has various dimensions, so it requires careful and comprehensive examination. The purpose of the present research is to examine this issue and evaluate and analyze Ayatollah Khamenei's Qur’anic references in this regard. This research is descriptive-analytical in terms of its practical goal, and it has been prepared using documentary methods and library resources. The most important findings of this article are the explanation of the fundamental difference between the principles of Islamic and Western lifestyle modeling, along with the evaluation of the Qur’anic documentation of the leader’s statements on various occasions about modeling the Western lifestyle and its destructive effects in areas such as individual and collective ethics, family, science and technology, culture, politics, economics, and the environment. From the viewpoint of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, the fundamental difference between the principles of the Islamic lifestyle is based on the religious and cultural traditions of Islam and is completely opposite to the lifestyle that imitates the West based on values commensurate with secularism. Unlike modeling the Western lifestyle, the Islamic lifestyle presents individuals with specific and clear models based on Islamic and human values. In addition to individual dimensions, these models also act as social models and inject the values, behaviors, and attitudes desired by Islam into society. In other words, in the Islamic lifestyle, modeling is an active and purposeful process that takes place with the aim of human growth and perfection. In contrast, the Western lifestyle offers a wide range of models that are often based on material criteria, fame, power, and pleasure-seeking. These models, due to the influence of mass media and advertising, spread rapidly among young people and adolescents and act as alternative models for Islamic models. Modeling this style can lead to the promotion of individualism, consumerism, disrespect for moral values, and ultimately, the weakening of the foundations of the family and society. Accordingly, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, considering that he is at the forefront of the Islamic society’s governance and considering the duties of leadership in the principles of the constitution and the supervisory dimension and evaluation of the performance of the three branches of government and the direction of the Islamic society and nation, has always warned the people and officials about the effects of modeling such a style on various occasions with his Qur’anic references and analyses, and has introduced this modeling as an aggressive and destructive culture. Therefore, strengthening role model following Islamic models is one of the most important solutions to counter imitation from the West and preserve Islamic identity
