امروزه در هزاره سوم که یادگیری های فعال مورد توجه است در این نوع یادگیری مسئولیت یادگیری بر عهده یادگیرنده می باشد معلم در این نوع یادگیری صرفاً تسهیلگر آموزش است با توجه به این موضوع نیاز به انگیزه در یادگیرندگان بسیار حائز اهمیت است و معلمان ما در فرایند یاددهی و یادگیری به این نکته باید توجه کنند که در مرحله اول باید انگیزه دانش آموزان را برانگیزانند زیرا با وجود انگیزه درونی یادگیری با سرعت بیشتر و عمق بیشتر انجام می شود از سوی دیگر می توان گفت اگر یادگیری یادگیری معنادار باشد منجر به آموزش هدفمند و پایدار خواهد شد و این عبارت که "یادگیری قلب آموزش و انگیزش قلب یادگیری" است محور اصلی این مقاله می باشد.Learning the heart of teaching and motivating the heart of learning
