A Two-Stage Method for Diagnosing COVID-19, Leveraging CNN, and Transfer Learning on CT Scan Images(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Lung infection represents one of the most perilous indicators of Covid-19. The most efficient diagnostic approach entails the analysis of CT scan images. Utilizing deep learning algorithms and machine vision, computer scientists have devised a method for automated detection of this disease. This study proposes a two-stage approach to identifying lung infection. In the initial stage, image features are extracted through a transfer learning framework employing ResNet50, with the last two layers being fixed. Subsequently, a CNN neural network is constructed for image detection and categorization in the second stage. By employing superior image feature selection and minimizing non-informative features, this proposed method achieves impressive accuracy metrics: 98.99% accuracy, 98.91% sensitivity, and 99.10% specificity. Furthermore, a comparative analysis is conducted between this method and six other architectures (Inception, InceptionResNetV2, ResNet101, ResNet152, VGG16, VGG19), with and without transfer learning. The findings demonstrate that the proposed method attains 98% accuracy on test data, without succumbing to overfitting.

A data Mining Approach using CNN and LSTM to Predict Divorce before Marriage(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Divorce will have destructive spiritual and material effects, and unfortunately, in this regard recent statistics have shown that solutions provided for its prevention and reduction have not been effective. One of the effective solutions to reduce divorce in society is to review the background of the couple, which can provide valuable experiences to experts, and used by experts and family counselors. In this article, a method has been proposed that uses data mining and deep learning to help family counselors to predict the outcome of marriage as a practical tool. Reviewing the background of thousands of couples will provide a model for the coupe behavior analysis. The primary data of this study was collected from the information of 35,000 couples registered in the National Organization for Civil Registration of Iran during 2018-2019. In the current work, we proposed a method to predict divorce by combining a convolutional neural network (CNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM). In this hybrid method, key features in a dataset are selected using CNN layers, and then predicted using LSTM layers with an accuracy of 99.67 percent. A comparison of the method used in this article and Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) and CNN suggests that it has a higher degree of accuracy.

Detection of COVID-19 Using a Pre-trained CNN Model Over Chest X-ray Images(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Lung infection is the most dangerous sign of Covid 19. X-ray images are the most effective means of diagnosing this virus. In order to detect this disease, deep learning algorithms and machine vision are widely used by computer scientists. Convolutional neural networks (CNN), DenseNet121, Resnet50, and VGG16 were used in this study for the detection of Covid-19 in X-ray images. In the current study, 1341 chest radiographs from the COVID-19 dataset were used to detect COVID-19 including infected and Healthy classes using a modified pre-trained CNN (train and test accuracy of 99.75% and 99.63%, respectively). The DENSENET121 model has a training accuracy of 43.89% and a test accuracy of 57.89%, respectively. The train and test accuracy of ResNet-50 are, respectively, 89.43% and 90%. Additionally, the CNN model has test and train accuracy of 98.13% and 96.73%, respectively. The suggested model has COVID-19 detection accuracy that is at least 1% higher than all other models.

A Deep Learning Approach for Diagnosis Chest Diseases(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

The human chest contains vital organs such as the heart, lungs, and other organs. Chest radiology is one of the best and least costly methods to diagnose chest diseases. In this study, proposed a new method to diagnose 14 main diseases of the chest such as (cardiomegaly, emphysema, effusion, hernia, nodule, pneumothorax, atelectasis, pleural - thickening, mass, edema, integration, penetration, fibrosis, pneumonia) using the neural network and deep learning to increase accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. The proposed method is implemented in the form of a web application and is available as a decision-making system for physicians to diagnose chest diseases.The results of the simulation on the sample dataset showed that the diagnosis of chest diseases was 98.93%, indicating the high efficiency of the new method. Finally, the proposed method was compared with other deep learning architectures such as densenet121, vgg16, exception architecture on the same dataset, which showed a 5% higher accuracy than them.
