People usually associate power with military force, multinational corporations, as well as ele-vated political positions. However, marriage and family are not exempted from power strug-gles too; couples often encounter power issues. Present article discusses power in families with focussing on power between married partners or conjugal power.The paper also high-lights some of the questions like, what are the sources of conjugal power? what are the deci-sion-making areas? what are the analytical models of power relation among Iranian fami-lies?and tries to find out answer of these questions. At the beginning, it discusses some classic theories and studies about decision making in marriage and family life and then look at what new generations of social scientists say about conjugal power. Finally, taking advantage of document and comparative analysis as the main methods used in this paper, it tries to exam-ine the structure of power relations in Iranian contemporary family.

The aim of the present study is to provide a deep understanding and motivate women to establish an extramarital relationship. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach and grand theory method and data collection technique was semi-structured interview and was conducted with 17 married women in Qazvin who had experience or an extramarital relationship. In order to select the interviewees, we used the targeted sampling method, this sampling requires the use of a sequential sampling type called snowball. The results showed that women's interpretation and belief in the establishment of transnational relations emerge in areas such as: growth of social relations and change of social values, increase of leisure time and facilitation of new technologies. Factors influencing these relationships were sexual diversity, lack of sexual skills and knowledge, revenge, and the justification of extramarital affairs and the absence of a spouse. Individualism, gender bias, spousal indifference, divorce laws, a woman's inferiority in income and lack of awareness in choosing a spouse as interfering conditions, and acting on an extramarital affair lead to cravings, body management, and hesitation in later life. The consequences of such actions and reactions are an increase in hedonism and the normalization of the extramarital affair

Objective:  This article focusses on emotional atmosphere and family structure among suicidal attempt among 20 to 13year-old clients referred to hospitals in Hormozgan Province. Methods: The sample consisted of 146 male and female adolescents who attempted to suicide. They were selected by random sampling method. In this research, the Hill Burn family questionnaire, Fellowship Suicide Factor Questionnaire (ASQ) and family structure questionnaire (FAD) were used to collect data. To analyze the data, Pearson correlation coefficient and entered regression were used. SPSS-20 statistical software was used for data analysis. Results: The results of the analysis showed that there is a negative relationship between the family's emotional atmosphere and its subscales with suicide attempt and also there is a negative relationship between family structure and its dimensions with suicide attempt. Conclusion: The results showed that there is a negative relationship between family psycho-emotional atmosphere and family structure with suicide attempt. The results of regression coefficients analysis showed that family emotional atmosphere and family structure were significantly associated with suicide attempt and could predict clients' suicide attempt (R 2 = 56, N = 146, P ≤ 0.001).

Given that social institutions are the basis of any society, they must ideally operate in unison with functional necessities for any society to function and then flourish. The plethora of issues confronting Nigeria as a country may be traced back to weak, incompetent, and dysfunctional social institutions that have failed to alter the status quo. According to Talcott Parsons, society is analogous to the human body, and in order for the body to thrive, all of its elements must collaborate. For Nigeria to advance, all social institutions, including family, school, religion, politics, and the economy, must work together to create repeatable results. It is against this background that this paper sought to examine the role of family structure in Nigeria and their pro-activeness in propelling national development. Literature was extensively reviewed from relevant publications and journals and it revealed that the family structure in Nigeria is gradually becoming weak and dysfunctional. This is attributed to a lot of changes that are taking place in the institution of family which quite often poses a threat to the very survival of family system universally. It was then concluded that there is need for every family to hold with uttermost importance the place or morals, socialization and regulation of individual member of the family’s behaviour.
