Urban spaces refer to the man-made spaces which possess a special order for human behavior and activities. One of these spaces is the surrounding space of public transportation stations. The subway stations, although potentially encompass many different groups of people; few social interactions take place in these spaces. In this regard, by making the surrounding areas of the subway stations be pedestrian-oriented, the potential for increasing the socialization capacity of the mentioned spaces will be provided.The Sadeghieh Subway Station can be considered as the most important subway station in Tehran, which on the one hand is the rail port of Tehran’s western entrance, and on the other is the port for railway journeys inside the city. The main concern of this study is to assess the success or failure of the interventions made by the municipality for changing the surrounding area of the Sadeghieh Subway Station into a pedestrian-oriented space. The method used in this study is surveying, in which the data were collected using a questionnaire and interview. The study’s population is all people who use Sadeghieh Subway, and the sample size for the study were considered 140 subjects.The results shows that after the municipality’s actions to change the space into a pedestrian-oriented space the district have a progressive process in such cases as transportation, security, Pedestrian infrastructure, vitality and attractivity rate to remain in the space, the amount of traffic crossing the sidewalk, walking group, the lighting, the vendors, the cleaning, pavement structure and climatic elements. but in such cases as mix use, recreational activity, readability and design furniture no significant change was seen, and in some cases the results were counterproductive.

 This s tudy aims to research the origin and development of temporary landscapes, combining the research progress of temporary landscapes in China and other regions in the world, and propose the development trend of temporary landscapes in the future. As a unique form of open space, the temporary landscape has the characteris tics of "time limit," guidance, flexibility, and functionality. It is a spatial s trategy for the temporary occupation of land in urban cons truction. This article firs t introduces the temporary landscape background, combs the temporary landscape's development and connotation, and puts forward the temporary landscape concept based on summing up previous s tudies. Then, s tarting from three aspects: the type mechanism, design practice, and comprehensive functional benefits of temporary landscapes, this paper focuses on the research progress of the phenomenon of temporary landscapes in China and abroad in recent years. Finally, it makes a comparative analysis of the research, summarizes the differences in the s tudy of temporary landscapes between China and other regions, and proposes prospects for future research trends combined with the international development situation. 

Due to the thousands of years of Persian garden his tory, it has taken an indigenous color and aroma and its components have formed according to the needs that have exis ted over time; whereas the park suddenly entered Iran to induce modernism in the Qajar period. For this reason, its features don't fit the circums tances of Iran and ins tead fit with its territorial characteris tics. A solely his torical attitude to the Persian garden has led to the exclusion of this space from the process of regeneration and adaptation to recent needs. On the other hand, in the 50 years since the park’s emergence in Iran, some of its features have harmonized with the context. Accordingly, the research ques tion is: following the characteris tics of urban public spaces, which patterns of green space -Persian garden or park- might be more adaptable to the Iranian context. Several experts' opinions were used to respond to the research ques tion. The criteria for reviewing were selected from the project for public spaces and the results of the ques tionnaires were analyzed in the form of the hierarchical analysis process method and were adapted to the theoretical background. Although regarding some of the use and activity criteria, the park has more adaptability as a public urban space in Iran, in terms of access and linkage, comfort and image as well as overall measurements, the garden is more adaptable than the park.
