چکیده
In Devotions upon Emergent Occasions, based on his analysis of the relationship between the body and soul during his sickness, John Donne reaches the conclusion that man is unable to resist all the temptations of sin. It is proposed in this study that as a result of this belief, Donne encounters a theological problem, which he attempts to resolve by showing that despite the imperfections of the human nature, God has provided humans with every means necessary for achieving salvation. Therefore, it is argued that in the Devotions Donne creates a Leibnizian theodicy, according to which in spite of the existence of problems in creation it is possible to prove that God has created the best possible world. The purpose of this study is to provide a very different reading from the most established interpretations of the Devotions, in which it is assumed that Donne is simply encouraging his readers to avoid sin and to behave well. It is demonstrated that Donne actually tackles a serious theological problem by creating a Leibnizian theodicy in the work.ردپای تئودیسه لایبنیتسی در عبادات در مناسبت های اضطراری اثر جان دان
جان دان در کتاب «عبادات در مناسبت های اضطراری»، بر اساس تحلیلی که از رابطه بدن و روح در طول بیماری خود دارد، به این نتیجه می رسد که انسان قادر به مقاومت در برابر همه وسوسه های گناه نیست. در این پژوهش نشان داده می شود که در نتیجه این باور، دان با یک مشکل الهیاتی مواجه می شود که با نشان دادن این نکته که علی رغم نقص های فطرت انسان خداوند هر وسیله ای را که برای رسیدن به رستگاری لازم است در اختیار انسان ها قرار داده سعی در حل آن دارد. بنابراین، استدلال می شود که دان در عبادات، یک تئودیسه لایبنیتسی را ایجاد می کند که بر اساس آن می توان ثابت کرد که علی رغم وجود مشکلات در خلقت، خداوند بهترین جهان ممکن را آفریده است. هدف این مطالعه ارائه خوانشی بسیار متفاوت از معتبرترین تفاسیر عبادات است که در آن فرض بر این است که دان صرفاً خوانندگان خود را به اجتناب از گناه و اتخاذ رفتار خوب تشویق می کند. نشان داده می شود که دان در واقع با ایجاد یک تئودیسه لایبنیتسی در اثر خود یک مشکل جدی الهیاتی را حل می کند .
